Wheeler Historic Farm

Wheeler Historic Farm is operated by Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation. It features 75 acres of natural landscape and a working farm. In May of 1976 Dr. A.

Wheeler Historic Farm is a free public park and farm operated by Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation. The park and farm are available to visit 7 days/week. Purchase wagon rides, cow milking and tour passes at the Activity Barn. Office hours are Monday - Saturday 9AM - 5PM. Following the death of Henry Wheeler Sr., the farm was sold to Sterling Furniture Co. and its president Richard Madsen. With

the help of Beverly Wheeler Mastrim, The Jr. League of Salt Lake, and private donors, the farm was sold to the County in 1969. Glen Humphreys, curator, farmer and director, moved on to Wheeler Farm and lived in a trailer. Dr. Humphreys contribution as Director and Curator for over 25 years are still a part of what you find at the farm today. With the help of Beverly Wheeler Mastrim and the State Historic Preservation Office the farm was placed on the National Historic registry in that same year. Today the farm is operated by Salt Lake County as an agricultural living history museum and outdoor recreation site.

🎅 Bundle up and enjoy Festive Fridays at Historic Farm. Take a wagon ride and see some holiday lights displays. Santa will greet visitors on the porch of the Farmhouse Friday evenings, November 29–December 20, 5 pm–7 pm.

Wagon ride tickets can be purchased in the Activity Barn.

There is no fee for visiting Santa, our elf can help take photos on your device!
Tickets are $3 per person age 2 and up.
Wagon Pickup will be in front of the Ice House.

Tomorrow night! Come out and see the 100ft tree on its way to Wrangell, AK to Washington DC!! For decades, the USFS has provided a tree from an American forest to display on the west lawn of the US Capitol building. You will be able to view the tree, as well as learn from informational booths, grab a treat from a food truck and explore themed souvenirs. The tree will be here from 5-7pm so don’t miss out!
