It has been brought to our attention that someone is contacting people in the area with lost pets and is posing as the Humane Society of Sedona. These people are demanding money to have the lost animal returned to their families, or even worse, they are saying the the animal has been injured and is in need of lifesaving surgery that we need money to perform.
THIS IS A SCAM!

We here at the Humane Society of Sedona will NEVER contact you and demand money if your lost pet is brought to us. Returning lost pets to their families is a big part of what we do. We want to keep pets and families together and we would NEVER demand money or not allow you to see or identify your pet.

If you have a lost pet and receive one of these calls, texts, or emails, please do not engage or send funds. You are always welcome to call or stop by the shelter if you think your lost pet may have been brought to us.

These scammers may be posing as other organizations as well, so please be cautious.

I am so excited to be developing programming that will cater to pitbulls and other high drive, athletic breeds!

This deal is specifically to help owners who, like me when I adopted my boy back in 2020, may be a little overwhelmed with the high energy, high drive, and inappropriately expressed instincts and tendencies that I have since learned are characteristic of the breed.

Some of the best life advice I've been given in my thirties is to put yourself in rooms where you are the least successful/least knowledgeable person there. I got a real taste of that when I jumped into this GRC workshop knowing almost nothing. I will be forever grateful for this experience and can't wait to see how the seed that has been planted grows.

Please welcome the cutest little pocket rocket heeler mix KIANA to the Thunderbird crew!!🩵🐾

Kiana is a petite little heeler mix with a TON of energy! She gets along great with other dogs and would love to have an active dog play buddy and an active family that can keep up with her and keep her entertained.

She will be getting some training while she’s here and some FREE follow up lessons once she’s found her new home!

The doggies were all treated to a beautiful sound bath today! It was so beautiful to see how they all slowly calmed down and relaxed as the time went by. I will definitely be providing this service more often!

Working on my education and sharpening my skills has been such a blessing this year! Going to the Movement Markers Workshop with Maryna Ozuna was even more than I could have hoped or asked for. Life Pupdate: We are closing!!

This is a very bittersweet post to make, after all the hard work, adventures, connections with wonderful clients and dogs, and seeing so many lives changed over the past two years, not to mention how much I learned and grew myself!! I am so so grateful for every single one of you who have supported Thunderbird Dog Training in any way, and especially to those who have entrusted me with their treasured canine companions.

To answer some of your anticipated questions:

- I am closing because I have accepted a job working for Topline Canine] in Cottonwood, AZ. I feel very strongly this is the best move for me in my life right now and I am soooo excited to be moving to a new area and working with the wonderful owner and head trainer of this company! This means…

- I will still be training! Just through a different company and a little further north, so if you still want to come to me for training and possibly boarding, we just need to coordinate signing up through the new company I’m working for. Feel free to message me for further details!💕

- I am currently splitting my time between Phoenix and Cottonwood while I’m on the search for a place to live up there so let me know if you need anything and I’m happy to make time if I can!

- Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any training or dog related questions you may have! I am always a resource to you and care about your pups and their wellbeing! My number is still the same :)
