The Arabians are the best part of the Rose Parade!! Maybe someday I can make it. I've ridden in many parades but nothing like the Rose Parade.
🌹🐴 Meet Heaven Cent & Kari Albiol! 🌟
We are beyond excited to introduce Heaven Cent, a 15-year-old purebred Arabian mare who will be leading the Arabian group for the fourth time in the 2025 Rose Parade. This year, she’ll be pulling a beautiful reproduction of a back-to-back village cart.
Heaven is a special horse who truly lives up to her name. She’s a Kellogg Arabian, being the granddaughter of a mare Kari bought from Cal Poly Pomona—a nice touch as they’ll be leading the Arabian group in front of the Cal Poly float.
2020 was a milestone for Heaven, as it marked both her first Rose Parade and her first-ever parade. She stepped up as a star, leading the group past marching bands and bubbles with grace and confidence, as if she was born for the spotlight.
Kari shares, “Growing up in Southern California, my family always attended the Rose Parade, setting up the best seats along Orange Grove to watch the horses. Now, walking past that very spot in the parade with Heaven is incredibly special. It’s been a dream to take part in this event, and my father, who grew up in Pasadena, would be thrilled to know I’m following in his footsteps. For me, it’s truly the thrill of a lifetime.”
