We have a very exciting & busy day at MHS so we wanted to put out a few reminders!
🐾Our Community Vaccine Clinic is this evening from 5-8pm. Services to be offered:
- Parvo/Distemper (Feline 1-HCP or Canine 1-DAPPv) - *FREE
- Rabies (1 year) - $12.00
- Microchip - $15.00
*The free vaccine is available while supplies last. This clinic is first come, first serve with no appointment needed.
For those attending this evening, please make sure your dogs are leashed (no retractable leashes) and your cats are secured safely in carriers.
🐾Due to our clinic this evening, MHS will be closing normal operations at 4pm.
🐾And don' forget, all pets over 6 months old have an adoption fee of just $50 through Saturday, August 31st for our Labor Day Weekend Adoption special!

Camille is soooooo cute you guys! She is a 7-8 month old Cattledog/Hound/Louisiana mix? Approx 30lbs. She has a cute short tail. Initially a bit shy but this is all new to her. She is sweet and is good with other dogs, and her foster said she is house trained/good with kiddos. 🐾🐶❤️
Dean is a handsome distinguished gentleman. He is a 18 month old Shepherd mix. He has been homeless for a YEAR. 🤯 He’s been with an amazing foster who said he is good with other dogs, kids, and is housebroken. He is gentle, docile, and sweet at about 70lbs. Good on leash and riding in a vehicle. He is just a good boy and deserves a home after such a long wait. 🥹🫶🐾🐶❤️
Happy National Dog Day!!! These babies are here from Louisiana and they are thought to be Black Mouth Cur/Vizsla mixes. They are friendly playful and oh so cute. Will be available Wednesday!!! 🐶❤️🐾
Cha-Cha is a 4 month old female Bull Terrier mix. (The Target dog!) currently about 15lbs. She is your typical friendly, active, playful puppy. She will need lots of socializing and training to be the best pup she can be. She is smart and ornery so will need someone willing to go above and beyond to make her a forever family member. Sweet Pippy. She is a 7 month old Australian Cattledog Mix. Spayed, vaccinated, chipped. She was surrendered by a family that could no longer afford her. She is said to be mostly house trained and crate trained. Has lived with other dogs- so bring yours to meet. She is still coming out of her shell here but she is amazingly sweet once she knows you. I would say no small kids for this one, mature ones that are respectful of dogs space. Come see her unique coloring and maybe help socialize her a bit. 🫶❤️🐾🐶

Blossom is a beautiful young female Australian Cattledog mix. She is approx 6-7 months old and is great with other dogs of all sizes. Good with kiddos and people of all sizes. She is only about 20lbs currently so will be a good smaller medium size. She has been in a foster home and has experience with house manners. 🐾🐶❤️
This is Cassie! She is a 9 month old Terrier/Basset mix??? She is very long and short girl. About 35lbs. She is gentle and shy by nature. She does warm up and she has the sweetest face. Great with other dogs. Still getting to know her so come on in and spend some time with her 🥰🙏🐾
Frito is a 7lb neutered male Chihuahua mix. A mature 3yrs old. He is a no nonsense kinda guy- so kids aren’t what he is trying to do right now. 🚫He’s craving that luxurious couch he can claim as his own- and will allow you to perch yourself on it as long as you give him deep body massages. Will he bite your boyfriend? Yeah. Probably. But he doesn’t want to break the skin- he is just reminding you his mom told him he was part Mastiff. So, don’t mess with him.🤷🏻♀️ He WILL pretend to care about your feelings as long as you give him treats and bones. Especially bones. He does like other dogs. Mostly the ones who let him continue to act like it’s his world and we are just living in it. Who likes evil Chihuahuas? Post a picture below of your evil Chihuahua or tag your friend who does- because they are like chips- can’t have just a few. Must have a whole pack. Let’s add this one to yours! 🤣👍🏻😇😎

We are having the most terrible luck right now. Due to unforeseen repair issues the transport we have bringing us the dogs are trying their best to fix the problem. Can we help them out? We need to raise $300 for her. She is one of the kindest most generous rescue partners I have worked with and she gets a raw deal every time.
