This box of puppies was just brought to us after being found abandoned at a nearby gas station. Besides needing a really good bath (which they are currently getting!) they seem to be in good spirits.
They will receive needed medical evaluation and care over the next few days and are not currently available for adoption. We will post updates when they are ready to find a loving home to call their own!

Don't let Bruizer's age fool you! At 8 years old, this handsome American Bulldog mix knows many tricks and is so excited to learn more! Bruizer lived in a home with children previously, but he would prefer to live without children under the age of 12.

We just don't understand why Loki hasn't been adopted. Loki is a staff and volunteer favorite, a helper dog for playgroup (meaning he helps with dog intros and introducing new dogs to group), and an overall goodest boy.
Loki is a 7 yr old neutered male Akita mix, and he has called Midlands home for more than 140 days. Loki loves other dogs, toys, and treats, and he prefers children who are a bit older. Loki can be a bit aloof when meeting new people, but he is quick to warm up and start playing. Loki would love a forever family, endless love, and a comfy bed to call his own.

Stormy came to MHS on Monday with a very severe injury on his front leg. Even in his condition, it didn’t stop him from being a happy, affectionate boy. He is recovering well from his successful amputation surgery and is ready to find a home where he can be spoiled rotten like he deserves! July was a crazy month at Midlands but we made it through! We wanted to give everyone a quick update for 2 of the puppies from the group of 8 that were found in the ditch in a cardboard box. The whole group is thriving and growing well in foster homes and are starting to show their individual personalities!
These little cuties still have about 4-5 weeks before they will be available for adoption!
