Meet Dottie a 1.5-year-old Pointer Mix that will surely bring joy to her new family!

She is the longest resident dog at the shelter and has been with us since late June. She came in as a stray, so we do not have a lot of background on her, but we do know she is full of life, loves to play, and is eager to find her forever family. Dottie enjoys being the spoiled only child and will do best as the only pet in her new home.

“We adopted Winter (left her name the same since it seemed to fit her so well) a year ago in September & she has been the sweetest girl. She loves to chase squirrels around, lay outside all night long (especially in the snow), go on long walks and runs, and playing with all the dogs. She has a lot more energy than she lets on & she’s quite the cuddler. We’ve found out she isn’t super vocal but when she wants your attention she’ll let you know. We are so grateful to have found her. Adopting a dog is really special & I hope more dogs get to find their forever home soon! Thank you for rescuing Winter!”

Show off Saturday! Don't let Bruizer's age fool you! At 8 years old, this handsome American Bulldog mix knows many tricks and is so excited to learn more! Bruizer lived in a home with children previously, but he would prefer to live without children under the age of 12. Meet Bruizer and his other adoptable friends today until 5 pm!

We just don't understand why Loki hasn't been adopted. Loki is a staff and volunteer favorite, a helper dog for playgroup (meaning he helps with dog intros and introducing new dogs to group), and an overall goodest boy. Loki is a 7 yr old neutered male Akita mix, and he has called Midlands home for more than 140 days. Loki loves other dogs, toys, and treats, and he prefers children who are a bit older. Loki can be a bit aloof when meeting new people, but he is quick to warm up and start playing. Loki would love a forever family, endless love, and a comfy bed to call his own. Come meet Loki today until 6pm, or check out him and our other adoptable pets on our website!

Does this count as ASMR? Loki, a 7 year old male Akita mix thinks so. This big boy has been waiting to be adopted since early June and we just know he’ll be the perfect pet for the right family.

Sometimes when you ask a dog to sit, they decide to dance instead! Herman is a 4 year old party animal ready to find a place to call home.
