We're a small kennel in southwest Iowa. We love our dogs as much as we love to hunt.

Our Story

Loess Hills Pudelpointers started in 2015 when we purchased our first female, Killbuck’s II Brunhilda from Bill Athens. We had our first litter in 2017 and kept a female. With that first litter 3 of the 6 pups run their natural ability test and all 3 received a Prize 1. We have been building off of that successful litter every since.

Our plan is to produce 1 to 2 litters per year, focusing on producing the best versatile hunting dogs we can. Our dogs are hunted on wild birds starting in September with dove season, we roll that into waterfowl seasons. Once upland bird seasons open we hunt pheasant, quail, and grouse in Iowa, Nebraska, and Colorado. Finally we end with the snow goose conservation season in the spring.

We imported a male pup from the Czech Republic in 2019 for future breedings. He is a handsome dog with a great coat and confirmation.

The dogs are a part of the family, they have been raised with our 3 young children.
