As a parent and resident of South Whidbey, I can't not use this platform to spread the word...

We have a second chance to pass the SCHOOL BOND this November!

I love this website they set up to inform the public. https://southwhidbeyschool.bond/ I'm most excited about the ADA and inclusive play structures and bathrooms!

We just need to get the word out. I've seen Pool Bond signs for a month already, but I wasn't sure until recently that the School Bond was coming back for a vote.

There's no reason we can't have a pool facility AND better school facilities! Let's get it passed this time!

Quality schools are at the heart of strong, vibrant communities. It's time to invest in our SWSD buildings and grounds, which are due for their planned upgrades.

Some recent visitors! First is the very intelligent, very sweet Rottie, who looks like she's shying away from her human's touch, but she'd just gotten on the couch and was getting settled, plus she always has a kind of droopy gaze. She was also in a restless kind of mood that day. Sometimes she's out snoring during massage. Other days she can't seem to get comfortable or just has something on her mind. She's always a pleasure to work with and find how to help her that particular day.

Next is a black lab mix with a ton of happy, excitable energy! She likes the peanut butter lick mat, and it keeps her busy for about a half hour while I work on her. After this session, she spread out on the floor on her side, totally relaxed, which is not the norm for her!

Finally a new friend, a cattle dog mix rescue, with a sweet but nervous personality. I followed her lead, simply using passive touch and energy work to acclimate her and build trust.

I love the animals I work with and try to approach each visit with a fresh "eye" for what they need now, so it's always a fun challenge for me, and, I believe, rewarding to the animals too!
