Folks, heads up, this is a bad one.

Who decides if your dog - napping happily in his crate - is suffering “psychological harm?"

That dog you are actively grooming while s/he is attached to a grooming arm? To some unknown person, that dog could be suffering mental anguish. How would you feel if they seized your dog - and maybe euthanized him or her?

"Goldie’s Act (HR 1788/S 4033), was just introduced in the U.S. Senate. This awful bill redefines “violations” of the federal Animal Welfare Act and allows for immediate seizure or euthanasia of animals suffering from “psychological harm”, a term it doesn't define; It gets even "better." The bill requires posting of images of violations on a publicly accessible database, and that alone can undermine your property rights.

We all want our animals treated well, but this bill is too arbitrary. In the hands of an animal rights zealot, will be abused. Groomers, heritage breeders, fanciers - average responsible pet owners, no one will be immune.
