Lexy will be back grooming in a few weeks! 🥳 She isn’t back in the salon just yet…but is starting to book appointments for February! She will be working Tuesday-Thursday starting out!

⭐️ Lexy isn’t accepting any new clients at this time, she would like to give all her clients the opportunity to rebook with her first! If she has openings she will be grabbing clients from the waitlist first— so if you are a new client and want Lexy as your groomer, make sure to join the waitlist in case a spot opens up!

THANK YOU all so much for all the calls, text, and messages wanting to book your dos(s) a sPAW-day at the new salon!!! 💙 Elizabeth, Lexy & Kailee are currently booking out until August 15th and our next Saturday available is in September!! 🤯🤯 We are filling up VERY quickly!!! Do you want a long, fluffy, shaggy doodle?! 🐶✨ Or any breed really… let’s talk about it! 👏🏻 A lot of people think that if they want their dog to have a long, full, fluffy coat… that means they take them to see a groomer less and it’s actually the exact opposite! Ellie (dog below) has only had a full hair cut one time and her hair will still pretty long! We normally do trimming around her eyes, shave her paw paws, sani trim, and I lightly trim around her feet other than that she gets no trimming! She gets a bath, ear cleaning, nail trim, blow dry, lots of brushing… by the time she leaves you can run a comb through her entire body! This is to ensure she is completely matt free! Also, if you aren’t using a metal comb to check your brushing at home, grab one! It’ll be a game changer! ✨ Ellie is on a 3-4 week grooming schedule on top of all the brushing maintenance her owners do at home and still there are sometimes where we have to trim or shave our some matting in some spots! ** because matting starts at the skin and once it’s past a certain point the safest option is to shave under that mat- because when it’s so close to the skin you can’t tell what’s skin and what’s a mat… using scissors is a huge risk in cutting the dog and we absolutely don’t want that. Safety is priority! 🐶 So TIP of the day! You want a LONG fluffy dog! See your groomer more, not less! Chances are if you are only visiting a groomer every couple months or 6+ months— your dog will most likely need shaved due to matting. Think about it, what would you hair look like if you didn’t wash and brush it for months at a time?! ☺️😊

That’s a wrap for this Christmas season! 🙌🏼❤️ It’s been such a busy 2 weeks, but we are so thankful for every bit of it! 🥰 Our trailer is going into hiding until next week after this snow storm is over! We will be closed for the next 5 days!!! All messages/ text/ calls will be returned Wednesday December 28th! Lastly, bring your dogs inside, stay safe and Merry Christmas! ❤️🎄

When your client tells you her dog is a handful in the bath, but this is how he acts during his sPAW-day! 🫶🏼🤍🛁🫧

New hair cuts + fall weather has Milo & Theo feelin good! 🧡🍂🛁🫧🐾

Who wants to look simple? When you can look STUNNING! 🫶🏼✨

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐬𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞!✨ You will need 2 things: a brush + a metal comb! 1. Grab your brush and brush your dog all over, but make sure you are getting all the way down to the skin. 2. Use the comb and if the comb seems to get stuck any where, grab your birsh and work on that area a little more! 3. Repeat this process. Very easy just time consuming. Focus on all areas that easily mat: ears, tail, face, legs, belly… save the back and sides for last those are lower maintenance areas! I like to break it all up into sections, focus on one leg, then move to the next, then the tail, then ears, and so on. This way you are doing small areas at a time and it’s not so overwhelming! You can even break it up over a couple days! The more you do this….the more your dog will enjoy being brushed! When you brush your dog constantly between grooms you are setting them up for success at thier appointment! It allows groomers to focus on your dogs hair cut instead of de-matting (which can take a lot of time and be very uncomfortable for the dog if there is constant pulling— which is one of the most common reasons dogs end up hate being brushed)— if you ever have questions or need helping with your specific breed, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
