🐾 Healing Through Acupuncture: Benefits for Veterinary Patients 🐾

Did you know that acupuncture can play a key role in recovery for both orthopedic post-op and neurological veterinary patients? Here’s why it’s worth considering:

✨ Pain Relief: Acupuncture stimulates the release of endorphins and natural anti-inflammatory mediators, helping manage post-surgical pain and discomfort.

✨ Enhanced Healing: By improving blood flow and oxygen delivery to tissues, acupuncture supports faster recovery and reduces swelling in surgical and injured areas.

✨ Neurological Support: For pets with conditions like intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), nerve injuries, or degenerative myelopathy, acupuncture can improve nerve function, restore mobility, and reduce symptoms.

✨ Muscle Relaxation: It alleviates muscle tension and spasms that can develop post-surgery or as part of a neurological condition.

✨ Holistic Approach: Acupuncture works alongside conventional medicine to provide a well-rounded care plan tailored to your pet’s specific needs.

Whether your furry friend is recovering from surgery or managing a neurological condition, acupuncture could be the extra boost they need to get back on their paws!

📞 Talk to your veterinarian or give our clinic a call to schedule an appointment with our acupuncturist to learn more about how this time-tested therapy can make a difference for your pet.

SNOW DAY! Post your pet snow pics, and take a moment to check the safety of your outdoor critters.

If you’re new to our story and Sadie’s, Sadie was in a dog house fire in February of 2021 when a space heater tipped over and her straw bedding caught fire; She was kenneled and couldn’t escape. She suffered burns to more than 70% of her body. She has made a full recovery and is living her best life. You can see her here enjoying the snow day the best way she knows how… snoozing. Some breeds are built for this weather (see Norman, a Great Pyrenees, living the dream), but many are not. If you’re forced with keeping your pets outside in this weather, make sure they’re safe, and check on them regularly.

Sadie’s amazing story is captured on YouTube and our website. We’ll post the link to the first part of her story in the comments. Viewer beware, it’s not easy to watch, but let it serve as a cautionary tale and lesson to be learned by all.
