**Sally is home with her family as of 10 pm 4/8/24. She was caught in the trap directly by Crosspoint!!

Sally jumped (2 ) - 6 foot fences and a 7 foot fence Friday at Crosspoint Veterinary Hospital around noon. This happened within minutes of being dropped off with her 2 dog siblings and as staff were getting them ready for their weekend stay, she was scared of the staff in the yard and cleared one fence. With multiple staff surrounding the second barrier yard, the more we tried to contain her, the faster she scaled the other 2 fences. She was never left unattended. She was immediately followed into the woods to the west of Highway 1077 into Madison Farms subdivision area and then we lost sighting. There is a live trap set up at the area of last sighting. And any food, treats are left are now only in this area. We have hired a drone company to scout the area and as of 12:30 am this morning (36 hours after escape) , there has been no sign of Sally. (Night time searches with thermal drones are more productive than daytime searches, but ours haven’t been). We have been threatened by neighbors over the drone searches and one neighbor admitted to attempting to shoot the drone out of the sky- which is illegal. We had full support and part of St Tammany parish sherffs department involved with the drone search as well.
We had scouts on the ground for days searching methodically in multiple areas following maps.
There was mention that someone saw a dog on the EAST side of 1077 (completely different direction of where she went) along Brewster road. I have no confirmation of this nor any confirmation that this dog truly fit Sally”s description.
We are considering Sally to not be approachable. She is not aggressive that we know of- just scared. She will run. Sally’s owner states that she and her dog sister escaped their yard before and to get Sally, she had to get the dog sister first. She likes other dogs. Sally will need to be coaxed or “herded” into containment for capture and it will be best to contact her owner or one of our staff members first. If anyone truly has a sighting of her, we have a better/exact location to search with drones and we need to know this information immediately.
