Our mission is to save and rehabilitate at risk horses that have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or destined for the slaughter pipeline (Auctions & Kill Pens). We rely solely on donations to help with the costs associated with running the rescue.

Elsa had her first visit with Dr. Sam at Countryside Veterinary Services this morning. She had her teeth done, blood drawn, f***l for deworming, vaccinations, rads of her front hooves, and left with some pretty nifty cushioned slippers. We have a feeding plan pending results of the bloodwork and will repeat rads in two months to check her progress.

She has already learned feeding time and loves talking to her neighbor, Sully. We can't wait to see the positive progress this sweet little mare makes!

A quick update on Shakar, now known as Rooster. He seems to have settled in well and is doing great! As you can see, we think his new riders just might like him a little! Thank you, Adriana, so much for giving Rooster such a wonderful home.

Unfortunately part of rescue is seeing animals at their absolute worst, due to no fault of their own. We are sharing some of our success stories over the next few weeks so everyone can see why we are passionate about what we do!

Our 1st success story is Rosie. She came to us as an underweight owner surrender and we immediately went to work with her. She was covered in rain rot and had to be clipped and treated to help clear it up. During her intake exam with Countryside Veterinary Services two teeth had to be removed. While in quarantine she made tremendous improvements and steadily gained weight with twice daily grain and hay. Rosie has since found a wonderful home full of love and treats and enjoys all the attention from her new owner, Breyer.

Check out this cutie! Spartacus is an owner surrender and will be ready for adoption soon. He is a 4-year-old Saddlebred Cross gelding and stands approximately 14.2 hands. This guy has a great personality and loves people.
