Our mission is to save and rehabilitate at risk horses that have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or destined for the slaughter pipeline (Auctions & Kill Pens). We rely solely on donations to help with the costs associated with running the rescue.

What started out as a trip to rescue two mares turned into a three horse trip! Welcome Tanzanite, Amber, and Mighty Quinn. These equines were surrendered to SSARI due to the owner's deteriorating health. They will remain in quarantine, at least until their upcoming vaccinations and vet checks, but will still be spoiled!

Just because a horse isn’t rideable they can still have a great life. They make wonderful companions! They are happy with you just grooming, feeding, talking to them, giving them hugs and kisses, along with treats of course 😉

We have several pasture companions available. Send us a message and we will give you an updated list of which horses are available for adoption.

🐷🐷🐷🐷Molly's owner reached out to us and is looking to rehome his pot belly pig due to his health issues. She is very sweet, 6 to 7 years old and is spoiled rotten. Molly had her vaccines and nails trimmed 2 months ago. She weighs approximately 150lbs. We need to try to help him find a good home for her. If you are interested, please message us.

Sully is one handsome guy! He has been through alot so we made the decision to turn him put for the last 6 months. He is a happy horse now and his personality has really come out.
This guy is going to be an amazing horse with time and patience.
