These animals have been waiting for so long for a second chance, and they do not deserve to spend this winter alone and cold. Many of the dogs still here face behavioral challenges, and unfortunately, they are often the hardest to get adopted. If you don’t have other pets or small children, please consider fostering one of these sweet pups. We’ll provide everything you need—food, kennels, and supplies—at no cost to you!
The frigid temperatures starting Tuesday night will be dangerous, and our shelter, though doing its best to care for these animals, is simply not equipped to keep them safe and warm in the coming cold snap. The shelter is over 70 years old and while we do have an indoor area, it's incredibly difficult to keep the temperature stable. We need your help to get them out of here before the storm hits!
Our goal is to ensure that every single animal can find warmth and love in a temporary home during this crisis. We NEED YOU to step up and make a difference for these deserving animals before it's too late.
👉 Please visit us TODAY (Saturday, January 18th) from 9 AM – 2 PM or Monday, January 20th from 9 AM – 4 PM at the shelter. Our staff and volunteers will be on hand to help match you with the perfect dog or cat to foster.

🚨FOSTER HOMES NEEDED B4 WINTER STORM🚨
We are calling on our community to temporarily foster a shelter dog before frigid temperatures hit our area Tuesday night and through the week!!
While the dogs have an inside area that can be enclosed during freezing temperatures, our building is still 70+ years old and of substandard condition making it difficult to keep the runs warm the entire night. This temperature drop will be significant and the lowest we have seen in quite some time so getting the dogs out of the shelter and into safety is our top priority!!!
**Our shelter cats are in better housing suited for the cold, but they too are available to take home temporarily.
Visit the shelter tomorrow (Saturday), January 18th, between 9 AM and 2 PM or Monday, January 20th 9 AM - 4 PM. Our dedicated staff and volunteers will be on-site to assist you in finding the perfect furry guest for your family. Our goal is to ensure 100% of the animals find warmth and love in temporary homes. We provide all necessary supplies, including food and kennels, at no cost to you.
