🐾 Heat Stroke Can Be Deadly — Know the Signs! ☀️🐶

Summer heat is no joke for our furry friends! Dogs can’t cool off like we do, and high temperatures can quickly lead to heat stroke — a life-threatening emergency.

🚨 Watch for these warning signs:
• Excessive panting or drooling
• Red or pale gums
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Lethargy or collapse
• Disorientation or seizures

🚗 NEVER leave a dog in a parked car — even for a minute. Temps can soar in seconds.

💧 How to help:
• Keep fresh water available
• Walk during cooler hours
• Provide shade & AC indoors
• Know your dog’s limits — flat-faced breeds & seniors are at higher risk

If you suspect heat stroke, cool your dog down gradually (not ice!) and call us immediately! 📞🐕

Weather is warming up!
Today is heart awareness day, below are the TOP 5 heat stroke signs in animals.
Also remember the pavement is heating up, these dark surface tops retain heat longer and heat up faster than our light colored walking paths. Paw pads are extra sensitive and can become severely burned and blistered in a hurry! 🐾❤
