MEET HUDSON - Adoptable Dog of the Week
Age - 3 years
S*x - Neutered Male
Weight - 50ish Lbs
Handsome Hudson, as the volunteers at Saving Webster Dogs like to call him, came to rescue in July 2024 as a stray. He is a gorgeous Plott Hound with beautiful Plottie brindling - but his eyes, forward bent ears and smile are what will make you fall in love. Hudson is a medium-sized dog with a medium activity level. He is dog and people friendly and Hudson thrives on attention from any human. He is people-centered, attentive and observant, making him a great candidate for future training. Hudson is an easy going guy who's looking for his forever home. If Hudson seems like your kind of boy, click the link below and apply to adopt him:
We absolutely LOVE IT when families reach out with updates on Saving Webster Dogs alumni!!
Bella (formerly Caitlyn) came to Saving Webster with seven other hounds in deplorable condition. She was pulled from the Webster County kill shelter weighing only 57 pounds, a fraction of the healthy, strong hound she was meant to be. Luckily, Bella wasn’t with the rescue long when she found her forever home. A patient, kind, and loving family was ready to make her one of theirs, and with her new family she has thrived. She has gained a whopping 11 pounds in her new home, is healthy enough to have been recently spayed, and is loving life with her two canine siblings. Bella’s journey from the kill shelter to her forever home is a testament to the power of rescue, the importance of second chances, and the incredible strength of a dog’s spirit. She is living her best life now and her story is just beginning.
Happy tails beautiful girl ❤

What a great way to start a Monday...
Our small but mighty team of transporters was on the road again early this morning helping 8 dogs in the next leg of their journey to forever homes. Just look at these cuties!
We couldn't do the work that we do without the dedication of our volunteers/transporters and our wonderful rescue partners. Thank you DAWGS Prison Programs for once again being a lifeline for our pups.
National Take a Hike Day on November 17th is the perfect opportunity to explore the great outdoors—and what better way to enjoy it than with a loyal hiking companion by your side? Adopting a dog from a rescue not only gives a deserving pet a home but also provides you with a new best friend who’s always up for adventure. Dogs make ideal hiking partners, offering both companionship and motivation to get outside and stay active. So get ready for this year’s Take a Hike Day by adopting an enthusiastic new friend who’s always ready to hit the trails with you and enjoy the beauty of nature together.
In rescue, we don't always get to see the "happily ever afters" when our dogs move along on their journey...but when we do, we sure want to share them with you!
Today, Palmer (now Milo) went to his forever home. With the help of a small but mighty village, Palmer made his way to New Gloucester, Maine and into the care of rescue partner DownEast Dog Rescue. It only took two weeks in foster for this handsome boy to find his "perfect forever". Palmer/Milo has hit the jackpot of jackpots! He will be the only pet in the home and will have someone home to love on him 24/7. What more could we ask for this sweet boy? Thanks to Kate for working tirelessly (and for being able to part with this perfect pup) to help him find his new home!
Happy tails Milo! 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Today our loveable chunky monkey left for the Steel City!
Domino (aka Fats Domino as we affectionately called him) caught the yellow bus north just a few minutes ago... He is such a sweet, happy boy we can't imagine that someone won't fall in love with him IMMEDIATELY ❤
Happy tails Domino, and paws crossed for you finding your forever family 🐾 A HUGE thank you to our Paws Across Pittsburgh friends! Yinz are AMAZING 🎉

IT'S SENIOR PET MONTH
November is Senior Pet Month, a perfect time to experience the joy and companionship that comes with adopting an experienced, mature dog. Older pets often have calmer temperaments, established personalities, and are usually house-trained, making them ideal companions who quickly adapt to new homes. The affectionate, gentle nature of a senior dog adds warmth to any situation, making them the ideal adoption for you while giving them a well-deserved second chance at a happy life.
Do you want to celebrate the love, gratitude, and unique rewards that come from giving a senior dog a forever home this November? Saving Webster Dogs has several senior pups looking for their forever homes. Ask us how you can meet them!

URGENT PLEA! RESCUE COMMITMENT NEEDED!
We have a dog that was diagnosed tonight as Heartworm+, we very very rarely get cases of dogs that are and don't have the capacity to give the level of care and limiting activity that he needs. We are starting preliminary treatment but the veterinarian recommends the "fast kill" treatment as next steps.
Are there any rescues out there that can help us? Wesson deserves more than we can currently provide for him. If anyone knows of any groups that can, please TAG and SHARE!
Wesson is a 2 year old, mixed breed neutered male. He is a playful and curious boy who is dog and people friendly. He also does well on lead given his limited training. Did we mention he is super handsome as well????
WESSON NEEDS YOUR HELP!

It's National Animal Shelter and Rescue Appreciation Week!
National Animal Shelter and Rescue Appreciation Week, celebrated November 3-9, is a time to recognize the hard work and dedication of shelters and rescues across the country. One of the most impactful ways to support these heroes is through adoption—especially of dogs in need of loving homes. By adopting, you not only give a deserving animal a second chance but also free up shelter and rescue resources to help other animals in need. Adopting from a shelter means gaining a loyal, grateful companion while directly supporting the mission of rescue organizations.
Are you considering supporting this wonderful movement by adopting a dog? Check out these cuties immediately available through Saving Webster Dogs here:
Location: In foster (Cowen, WV)

Olive is a gorgeous, almost 2-year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix who came to Saving Webster Dogs in May of 2024. She is people and dog friendly and seems to have had previous interactions with both prior to rescue. Olive was successfully kenneled with other dogs while on site but she is currently in a foster home and doing well.
Olive has been described as goofy, silly, and sweet. She enjoys playing with toys and is food motivated. She has a medium activity level to match her medium build. She is spayed and up-to-date with all required shots. She is a wonderful girl who is looking for her perfect home. Could yours be it?
Upon request, additional photos and videos of Olive interacting with people and dogs can be made available. A video of Olive is included in the comments.
Won't you give Olive a chance? 🥰 She is available for adoption or rescue commitment.
Please share this post and help us find this beautiful girl the family she longs for!

Saturday, the day filled with dogs on the move, ended last night with two of our dogs arriving to our newest rescue partner DownEast Dog Rescue. This group is just starting back up again after a hiatus and decided to pulled Marley and Palmer as two of their first!
We are so excited to see this new partnership flourish and give these two boys the opportunity to find wonderful, loving homes.
A special shout out to Dave and Carol Corwell-Martin for loading up three extra dogs (Marley, Palmer, and Rhett/Rue) on their personal trip north to get them where they needed to be. We know it was a chaotic two days for them (they held two of the dogs overnight before leaving!) but the trip for the three handsome guys wouldn't have happened without their efforts.
Happy tails Marley and Palmer, and paws crossed you find your forever soon!

After work, welcome home snuggles and kisses from Frank are THE BEST!
Saving Webster Dogs big boy Frank was a recent participant in the Happy Hounds Prison Dog Program. He was such a stellar student and excelled in his training that he graduated early AND GOT ADOPTED!
His adopter, Kayla, had recently bought a house with a fenced yard and was yearning for the companionship of a big dog. The stars aligned for both Frank and Kayla since she works in the facility where Frank was being trained! From the moment she met him, Kayla knew he was what she had been looking for 🥰 We think they make a pretty cute team and that Frank is just where he is supposed to be.
Thank you Kayla for choosing to adopt Frank and give him all the love he has wanted and needed.

If this doesn't warm your heart, then you don't have one.....
Our little Cookie found her forever family and best friend today. How sweet is it that they match (shoes and harness) and how she plopped herself down in front of him as if claiming him. I'm here and I'm yours.....
Happy life Cookie, we think its safe to say you will be loved beyond measure and spoiled rotten, as you should be!

Ned left us last week for his new home. It seems like he is adjusting well and, lucky him, he has the luxury of a swimming pool! While timid at first with the water, he has decided that it isn't too bad 🥰
We are so happy for this big handsome boy, what a life he is living now.

Here's your feel good video of the day!
Remember Caitlyn, the underweight Black & Tan gal that came in last weekend? Well guess what? In a matter of a week her life did a total 360!
Look at her now... she's settled right in to her new home and is doing well with her new sister (pictured with her here) and new brother (another B&T not pictured)!
What an amazing opportunity for Caitlyn and we can't thank her adoptive family enough for giving her the home and love that she deserves. You guys ROCK!

Hello from the beautiful mountains of West Virginia!!
Welcome to the official FB page of Foxfire Farm Kennels, Inc. aka Saving Webster Dogs. We rescue out of a rural 6 run high-kill pound in Webster Springs, in Cowen, WV. We are a tiny handful of dedicated volunteers who take pictures and network, foster and provide lifesaving rescue for code red dogs that ar e given 5 days, or euthanasia. We are donation based and receive no funding from the County. Every little bit helps us save the lives of these beautiful Webster dogs, it takes a village. If you’d like to foster or help us transport some vet runs, please email us at [email protected].
You can also be a hero and donate any amount towards our rescue, by clicking here to our PayPal: www.paypal.me/savingwebsterdogs
