We blood tracked another one this year for a buddy. Brought out the new blood hound to go with willow and they made a great pair.

What a long weekend. A lot of hard work went into organizing this weekend.

Ollie did great for her first test with her dog. She has built a bond with X and puts in all the work with her. She will have to put in some more work in on her water but aside from that she did an amazing job.

We had 4 pups from willow test this weekend. Scoring (3) 112-prize1 and (1) 100-prize3

Thank you everyone that made it out to the training day. Officially kicked off the chapter I feel like. Everyone pitched in and made efforts to help. With 15 dogs in attendance I think we did a great job. We have some great ideas to make it even better as we progress..

Little evening run.

12/13/2022

Moose just left the vet. Had a huge abscess on his throat. We’re assuming from hunting last weekend he must have gotten a cut or lodged a stick or thorn in there. Vet couldn’t find a foreign object but it could have worked itself out or he could have scratched it out and in turn infected the wound with bacteria. Luckily it’s now draining well and he should be back in the field in a couple weeks.

Mooses weekend. We got an awesome trophy wigeon. They are still moving slow here in CO.

This little pond was hip deep in mud and only a foot of water on top. Moose tried to cross the water but almost got stuck so he decide to go around. I don’t blame him.

Well as it goes with public land. My buddy AJ at least got one. So we didn’t get skunked. Moose got to retrieve his first goose. He did a great job.

Willow and myself went on a solo hunt this morning. We had a blast. Was able to call some geese that were flying over. They dropped in and so we got them too. Our first geese.

Today was our first morning hunting. Found a swa they flood only 15min from the house. We made two beautiful shots on this pair of green winged teal. Found what areas they like more im the flooded fields. Tomorrow should be a good foe us. As long as we can hit them😅

He has never held his tail up when he points but he knows what he is doing. Held steady while we walked up and while I flushed. We had to work hard to get to this point. We also were not expecting to come across any grouse on our hike but they are here and we will be back.
