What a great moment. We’ve been working with Yuki on her reactivity to unfamiliar dogs for a few session around her home. Today we went to the park to observe dogs in the dog park while walking around outside of it. Here she decided to relax and lay down on her own without any prompting from us while watching all the commotion of dogs chasing each other inside the park.

Trading for his ball

Barney found another ball on our walk today, that’s 3 now. He’s a bit obsessed with them and won’t trade for treats or drop them. Once we came back to his home I sat down so that I was less of a threat to take his ball and started tossing treats. He eventually dropped the ball and dropped his guard allowing me to get the ball. A little patience and strategic placement of treats for the win.
