Trading for his ball
Barney found another ball on our walk today, that’s 3 now. He’s a bit obsessed with them and won’t trade for treats or drop them. Once we came back to his home I sat down so that I was less of a threat to take his ball and started tossing treats. He eventually dropped the ball and dropped his guard allowing me to get the ball. A little patience and strategic placement of treats for the win.

Beau and Layla
I received this update and couldn’t be more happy with Beaus progress! Beau, the older dog, is reactive to dogs and was a little nervous about the arrival of his new little sibling Layla. We acclimated Beau to a muzzle to safely allow brief supervised interaction at a distance while associating each other with treats. His family spent a few weeks working on short interactions gradually decreasing distance and sent me this video once they felt comfortable with Beau enough to remove his muzzle! Interactions are still being kept short as they are separated most of the day but this video really made my day! His family is doing such a wonderful job taking their time and not rushing the process.
