🌟 Position: Lead Volunteer Coordinator - unpaid position
🏠 Location: 44 Worthington Road, Cranston, RI.

🙌 The Role:
As the Lead Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in organizing and nurturing our volunteer network. Your responsibilities will include:
📋 Volunteer Scheduling: Create and manage volunteer schedules, ensuring all areas of the shelter are adequately staffed.
🌟 Recruitment and Training: Recruit new volunteers, oversee orientation and training sessions, and provide continuous support and guidance.
🧡 Recognition and Appreciation: Develop a culture of appreciation and recognition for our volunteers, celebrating their dedication and contributions.
👥 Team Building: Promote a positive and collaborative atmosphere among our volunteers, encouraging teamwork and a sense of community.
📢 Promotion: Create and implement strategies to attract more volunteers, engaging with the local community and online networks.

We know you have all heard the saying but according to this gorgeous pup, blondes really DO have more fun! Meet BLONDIE Wednesday 3-7pm. She is an absolutely stunning pup looking for a foster or forever home. She is a 7 month old, female, Lab mixed breed. She has a lot of fun puppy energy but is always down for a good cuddle session. She loves being the center of attention and with that gorgeous face, who could blame her? Look at that smile and her adorable ears. She is PERFECTION! The tweets are 10 weeks old and are also a perfect Pit Bull mixed breed. Robin is sweet and can’t wait for a little “me” time after being a fantastic mom to her 6 adorable & healthy babies. What do you call an 80 pound lap dog? HUGO! Unfortunately, Hugo is STILL at the rescue and is looking for an immediate foster or forever home. WE REALLY NEED ALL HANDS ON DECK TO HELP US NETWORK THIS POOR GUY! He cannot sit in a cage for another long stretch of time. We don’t think he can handle the emotional and mental tress. We need someone to step up to save him ASAP. Could you be his hero?

Hugo is a 3.5 year old, male, mixed breed. He is a happy and big boy that is looking for an adult ONLY family without other pets. His ideal home would preferably not have men and be made up of woman only. This ladies man likes going on long walks and loves exploring outside. He does well on a leash and enjoys any time outside of a kennel. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations and has been neutered. ❤️🐶🪴 Raise your hand if you’re ready for more “Garden Puppy” updates? The puppies are 2 weeks old and have started to open their eyes. They have been attempting to walk but their top priority is eat. sleep. cuddle, & repeat. All 6 puppies and their stunning mom are doing well. We are slowly seeing their personalities shine though and we can’t wait to tell you all about them. We can announce that the litter is a Hound mixed breed. Check back next week to watch our garden grow ❤️🐶🪴

Unfortunately. Miranda is back at the rescue. She is a very sweet but extremely shy/skittish pup looking for her happy ending. Her ideal home would not have men. She is a 1 year old, female, Pit Bull mixed breed. She has a LOT of love to give and will absolutely be worth the effort to get her to trust you. Parker and Porter are bonded brothers (as you can see by looking at their photos) looking for a foster or forever home together. They have been waiting MONTHS for a family. These boys are 5 year old and are a Hound mixed breed dogs. They both do well on a leash and love to explore. They need a little time to warm up to new people but it’s nothing a few treats can’t fix. They just need someone willing to give them a chance. Their ideal home would on the quiet side without other dogs so they can decompress and adjust to life out of the shelter. They are going to be SO worth the time & effort to gain their trust. They are up to date on vaccinations and have been neutered. PLEASE SHARE!

Barnaby would have loved to be ringing in NYE in a new home but unfortunately, no one came for him. WE REALLY NEED HELP GETTING OUR LONG TERM RESIDENTS ADOPTED! You can meet Barnaby Saturday 10am-2pm. Everyone on our team is OBSESSED with this velvet eared hunk & we know you will be, too. He is looking for an adult only home without other animals. Barnaby is a 2 year old, male, Bloodhound mixed breed. He requires a dog savvy family with experience with large dogs. Sadly, he spent his 2nd birthday in a cage and our hearts are breaking for him. MEET PUMPKIN & AUTUMN: This gorgeous duo is looking for a home together. They are both 4 year old, female, Domestic Short Hair cats. Pumpkin has a beautiful orange coat and electric eyes. Autumn has a stunning Torti coat. They can be a little shy initially but they are extremely sweet. They have been settling in at the rescue and are coming out of their shell. Unfortunately, Santa didn’t bring Shutterbug a family for Christmas 😭 So, it’s back to hoping the right people see our posts. We are open today until 2pm. PLEASE HELP US FIND THIS GUY HIS HAPPY ENDING BY SHARING! He is a 1 year old, male, Bulldog mix that has spent most of his young life in a cage. It’s really hard to understand why this bright, affectionate pup is still here. He’s a pro on a leash and loves exploring. While Shutterbug has shown he can be selective with some dogs, a few meet and greets can help ensure a smooth transition and a perfect fit if you have other dogs at home. Shutterbug deserves a life beyond the shelter walls. Please consider giving this wonderful pup the chance he’s been waiting for and he will pay you back with endless love. PLEASE SHARE! 💙🐶
