Friends,
We are looking for businesses in Wakulla County to place our “Change 4 Change” boxes. This will directly benefit those in need of pet food, vaccinations, veterinary care after they have adopted an animal from the shelter. We are also going to pay adoption fees, whatever the spay/neuter vouchers do not cover and be sure animals are vaccinated.
While it’s great to add extra space at the Animal Shelter our focus is to help residents keep animals in their homes.
Accountability is a concern of mine. Too many nonprofits are taking in large sums of cash, and do not show where the money is going. So, each box will be counted with an employee present. They will sign the log book to verify the funds received. The total will be on my business website. Receipts will be uploaded for each deduction with names redacted.
To help make every penny go far I will be looking for veterinarians who would be willing to offer a discount for services. Many pet food manufacturers offer discounts too. Any way we can save money will be researched.
Thank you in advance for your prayers and support!

To manage the high activity, the shelter says they’re splitting their animal control and adoption departments. Neighbors are doing their part by donating.
