Penne Lane Dog Boarding

Penne Lane Dog Boarding We are a small facility offering personalized boarding for your dog. We are a small facility located in Crescent, Iowa. Tim and I (Martie) are huge dog lovers.

We opened for business on August 1st of 2015. Many dogs have come and gone in our household. We have a passion for the senior dogs and have adopted many of them over the years. People ask us how we do it. It never gets easier when it’s time for us to let them go. We say, how can you not? Unfortunately or fortunately, however you choose to look at it, there are so very many more dogs waiting for lo

ving homes. We can accommodate a maximum of six dogs at one time. This allows us to spend personalized, one on one time with your dog or dogs. We have a large yard with a six foot fence, are licensed and insured and live on site. We have two dogs. Ozzie is our four year old German Shepherd. Dixie is our 14 year old Bassett. She came to live with us when her owner had to move to a nursing home. Give us a call to set up a time to come and check out our facility. We would love to have you come visit us! Alex Tasha & Allie are female mixed breed puppies rescued with their litermates and mother at 7 weeks of age. These pups are a resilient group after surviving bitter cold conditions thanks to their mother's diligent care. Since arrival they've been staying toasty warm, getting plenty of nurishment and growing like crazy. They will be available for adoption once they reach 10 weeks of age. Come meet one of these adorable girls! 🐶❤

Ginny is a beautiful 50 lb shiba inu mix who originally came to us from the reservation. She was adopted to a couple who returned her when they had a baby. It sounded like the new parents and Ginny were all struggling to adapt to a big life change. Ginny was heartbroken after losing her family but has slowly come out of her shell. We have witnessed her to be guarded and very slow to warm up to new humans in her life. She is very protective of her personal space and we've seen some resource guarding. Therefore, she will need be in a home with very patient adults with a consistent routine without a lot of new people coming and going. She will need to be fed in her crate or a room by herself. She is an active girl who loves long walks and would enjoy a fenced yard for outdoor play, but is unlikely to be a dog park dog. She entertains herself playing with her toys or chewing on bones. She is highly intelligent and has mastered the commands "sit", "paw" and "down". She is food motivated and once you're on her A list, she is eager to please. Ginny has a dominant personality so she would likely do best in a home without other dogs or with a more submissive dog. Ginny rides well in a car so if you want to go site-seeing she's up for the adventure. Ginny will need a very specific home with a loving, patient, committed family. If you want to meet this precious furbaby please contact Town and Country Animal Rescue. .🐶❤
