Pet au Pairs is Hiring!

Position: Full Time Doggy Caregiver. MUST LOVE DOGS!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing and entertaining dogs in the daycare, receiving clients at pickup and drop of, taking dogs on hikes, bathing daycare dogs upon request, feeding dogs, cleaning up after dogs, laundry, kennel cleaning, light facilities cleaning, answering the phone, checking dogs in and out in the computer, picking up and dropping off dogs as needed can use company vehicles), PLAYING WITH DOGS AND HAVING FUN.

Ideal candidate will be a responsible, reliable, self starter who will be a team player and take pride in being part of the Pet au Pairs Organization.

Please do NOT call out, approach, follow or chase. These things will push dog to run faster & farther away.

Do you ever feel badly feeding your dog the same meal, every day?

Well here’s some simple ways you can mix it up:

Add a little of one of these to enhance flavor, add vitamins, minerals & fiber, and keep it interesting!

-Banana
-Sugar Free Applesauce
-Pineapple
-Blueberries
-Bone Broth (low sodium is best)
-Scrambled Egg
-Zucchini
-Plain Pumpkin Puree

Remember to keep amounts small, especially in the beginning, to reduce chance of stomach upset. And don’t forget to consider the extra calories so your pup doesn’t start putting on unnecessary weight!

I love our clients and I am so grateful for the second homeowners and tourists! But it makes me really sad when they talk down to us, patronize us (“darling”) and bully us to try to get refunds when the fault is on them. She actually held this review over my head as blackmail in hopes I’d refund her deposit.

She made no mention of Alztimers or wheelchairs until she was so worked up ,all she did was blurt it out and then hang up on me.

The only communication we received from the client BEFORE their reservation was set to start was a call from her husband asking what time we closed. There was no mention of delays, difficulties or statement that they may be late or want to cancel. There was never a request to drop the dog at a later date. When she spoke with Lexie, it was 2 days AFTER the reservation was set to start and Lexie couldn’t find the reservation because it had been canceled as a “no show” by that point.

I have compassion and I always try to work with people. This woman was rude and patronizing from the onset and I’m heartbroken that our 5 star record is now blemished.

These ladies are my rockstars. They are hardworking, dog-loving, adventure seeking, badasses and I am beyond grateful to have them!

A friendly reminder that the asphalt is always hotter than air temps!!🌞🌬️

Im sure we are all excited to get outside in this amazing warm weather but please don’t forget about our furry friends paws!! 🐾🔥

To prevent burns ALWAYS check the asphalt before letting your dog walk on it during these warm couple months.🏃‍♀️

Your dog may not realize their paws are being burnt until it is too late.❤️‍🩹

TIPS:
✅7 second rule: If the asphalt is too hot for your hand after 7 seconds it is too hot for their paws.

✅ Dog booties/shoes (if they will let you)😅

✅ Walk on trails over walking around town in high temps. Dirt does not contain as much heat so maybe opt for a little hike instead!

✅ Don’t walk during peak hours. Morning/Evenings are safest in summer months.

Pet au Pairs is seeking a Part Time employee, to work approximately 10-12 hours, on the weekends.

Primary responsibility will be caring for the daycare and boarding dogs, in our facility, in CB South.

Must be comfortable working alone as well as with a team member. Position starts in April.
