Continuing my groundwork education as well. Luckily my old owner educated me well on the ground so learning new things is easy. Next up I want to learn to start my trick training and lay down and sit up.

Also, can you believe that I am out riding and working around all mares without a peep? I am such a good boy.

I feel that oftentimes we forget about the nature of the horse. They are born in herds, where they form deep emotional bonds that carry with them until they die. The longer I'm in horses, the more and more evidence I see. Horses greeting horses they haven't seen in years as if they hadn't missed a day. Mares reconnecting with their foals, horses being drawn to each other on trail, etc.

These emotional attachments are necessary and healthy for horses, after all in the wild it means their survival. There's something to be learned there.

This is the gorgeous Sarabi and her new buckskin beauty by Silver. Sarabi is a 3/4 Gypsy 1/4 Haflinger cross by Ruthar's Sunlight of Lexlin, owned by Jennifer Rose of Mystic Rose Realms.
