Highlights from the last 6 years....
Who knew when we moved to Creston in June 2016, where life would take us!
Hundreds of training horses, more lessons then I can begin to count, some of the biggest names in the equine industry as well as some well known locals, in for clinics, game shows, barrel races, vet days with waiting lists and having to add extra farrier days. Countless friendships made.
Events at the facility decreased and we know the community was saddened. We heard that the message loud and clear, you weren't being ignored. We were just following where our services were in highest demand, which was the training and showing. This left little time and room for events at the facility.
Later this week, this page will be handed over to the new owner. Be sure to welcome her, like you did us. Let her know what you'd like to see at the facility, help her, be kind and when you visit, treat the facility like it's your home.
If you'd like to reach us after this page has been transfered, head on over to Clear Cut Horsemanship or my personal page, Rachel Logan.

With the sale of the facility, we need to relocate the next Vet Day, this Friday the 14th. Does anyone want to host or know of a great place in the Creston/Davenport area?
It is a full day from roughly 9:30-2, you do not need to be present once she initially sets up. Misty will need access to water and preferably a shelter of some sort and enough parking for a couple trailers.

Stay tuned for details!

Travis and Dandy Doll Playmate's NCHA Pioneer Circuit awards came in the mail yesterday!
A great accomplishment for a horse and rider to accomplish 1st full year competing NCHA. Travis took "Nifty", who had been barrel racing the two years prior and made a successful cutter out of her. They actually pulled their 1st NCHA check 4 days after she made a 2D run with our, at the time, 10 yr old daughter.

If anyone wanted lessons before we leave, this weekend is the last chance to get them in.

Farrier Day in March 29th and Vet Day on April 14th are still a go!
Vet Day is FULL but I can put you on a waiting list.
It's that time of year, Jeff's going to start getting busy, don't wait to get in on the 29th. Contact him or I to get on his schedule.
We won't be here but the new owners have agreed to still hold them and have gates open for you. Please welcome them into the community, as you have us.
After these appts. it'll be up to the new owners, Jeff and Misty on how they want to proceed with the additional dates scheduled. The FB page and Website will be staying active for the foreseeable future, until the majority of people have found out it's changed ownership.

Very likely the last clinic we'll have at Creston Equine Center before the move.
There are already a few registrations from when we had to cancel this from a couple weeks ago, so don't wait to get your registration forms in!
We have a couple friends throwing us a going away party right after the clinic, you are welcome to join us!

Honey came in almost 6 months ago to be started and worked on cows.
She's come a long ways in that time. She'll go home in a couple weeks for a much deserved break

Our clinics always seem to be scheduled on the wrong days?
Schedule your own mini clinic, with your friends!

Our Story

Who We Are

On June 17th, 2017, we, Travis, Rachel and our two daughters, Lucy and Eva, started the first day of our new journey. It had been a dream of ours to move east of the mountain, out of the western WA rain and mud, for many years. We finally found the perfect opportunity and jumped on it.

Travis closed up his logging business to live over here full time, spring of 2018. We stay busy with training horse, lessons, events and the never ending To-Do list.
