Crisfield Cat Rescue began in October 2010 as a fundraising organization to raise money for a new cat shelter in Crisfield, Maryland. We have since evolved into a small operating shelter which rescues approx. 25 cats and kittens per year. We are a no-kill shelter; we provide a place here for our rescues indefinitely. All of our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered and vaccinated before adoption

. We also do tnr (trap/neuter/return) of feral cats when we have the funds to do so. We rely solely on donations from the public to pay for the vetting and supplies for our cats. Meet Harriet. Harriet is a stray who has lived on Peach Street for a long time. We believe she is former (adopted) CCR cat Tatersalad's mom. A couple of weeks ago Harriet came to our driveway for the first time (she usually stays a few houses down) so I gave her some food, which she ate and then left. Last night she came back so I gave her food again. She ate it but didn't leave this time. It was super cold last night so I decided to bring her inside. She let me pick her up and bring her in, and I set her up in a cage. She seems content and in no hurry to leave. I think she is just getting old and tired of living on the street. So she is welcome to stay here as long as she wants 💜

Update on the Crisfield Cat Rescue fundraiser:

First I want to apologize for not updating this in a while. I was waiting until after the Holidays and then I got super busy packing up stuff to take to storage. Second, Lance and I and the kitties want to thank everyone who has donated to this campaign so far, whether through the GoFundMe, CCR's PayPal, or in person: Heather S., Lori C., Jenn S., Andrew P., Jennifer S., Barbara M., Joanna H., Claire W., Suzanne K., Peter R., Lisa W., Rachel V., Linda N., and Billie R. Thanks to all of you, so far we have raised a total of $516.00!! We still have a ways to go to reach our goal so please SHARE this fundraiser!! Any funds left over from relocating the shed will go towards a vet checkup and updated vaccinations for each of the cats before they are moved to their new home.
