Happy first birthday to this cutie!!! I had never had such a strong willed , sweet pup until my Dezzi. When she was a pup 6-7 months I reached out to Julia on the recommendation of a friend. My fur baby was impossible to walk on a leash, zooming around the house without abandon and not dog socialized. I knew we needed guidance and Julia more than delivered. We signed up for a board and train that changed our trajectory. Julia taught me about how to communicate with Dezzi and her tools(clicker, and collar) became a foundation for our happiness today. Dezzi is respectful and a model fur baby. Our walks are now enjoyable, and our home is now calm. The tail wag that begins when she sees her collar is wild. The love and care that that Julia has for her work are evident in the growth she fosters in her pups and their people!! The biggest and loudest shout-out and thank you to Julia Zarra for leading both Dezzi and me to this one year celebration!!!!! Thank you for how quick you made space for us, for the flexibility in training and follow up schedules, for answering the late night texts when we were reinforcing our newly learned behaviors,and for last minute boarding as our family took big steps in new directions!

Louis practicing obedience at Home Depot today! Louis struggles with fear reactivity around people- we have been focused on building a foundation of obedience to make outings possible. Great job team!

A great little video of Smokey demonstrating the importance of the "warm up" or "engagement practice" before we did our obedience over to the ball game. One of my main focuses when training is to paint the picture of myself, or the handler, as "the best thing around!" And due to that training he now decides on his own to put himself in the heeling position, or decide on his own to continue returning to handler through the help of positive reinforcement. So proud of this kid!
