SURPRISE!! DJ and Bo arriving at Margaritas...
How do we celebrate an employee who has devoted 40 years to Pell City Animal Hospital? Why with a SURPRISE dinner!!! And from the expression on DJ’s face (see the video below of DJ and Bo's arrival), a surprise it was!!
DJ graduated from Snead State as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in 1983. After working in her home town of Athens, AL, DJ began her journey with Pell City Animal Hospital in March of 1985. Dr. Ed Murray and Dr. McMillan were the practicing veterinarians, and PCAH offered small and large animal care, including equine.
Pell City Animal Hospital is proud to have an individual who has been loyal, dedicated, devoted and continues to be such a staple at our clinic. Having an employee at the same business for 40 years is a rare find. There was a time when PCAH had 5 employees who had been a part of the clinic for 30 years ++! Those "FABULOUS 5" are Dr. McMillan, Dr. Jim Farmer, Judy Maske, DJ and Robin Stubbs! Fast forward to 2025, we have grown to 5 outstanding veterinarians and 15 staff members who each play an important role in our PCAH family and make possible what we are able to offer to the Cropwell/Pell City and surrounding communities.
With around 40 former and current members of the PCAH family as well as friends showing up to celebrate, it was a well-deserved FORTY YEAR FIESTA for DJ! Every day is a beautiful day to save animals… and oh the many animals that DJ has saved and will continue to save! From your PCAH family, the many clients and patients who you have comforted, loved and treated, and from our community, we say THANK YOU DJ!
Special thanks to Katie, Dr. Crumpton and Daphne for the fantastic job they did in planning out the details for a successful celebration! Not only is Dr. Crumpton a skilled veterinarian, she put her crafting skills to work and painted the festive banner and created a wonderful keepsake for DJ in the "40" photos that includes pics of DJ at work over the years! And a BIG thanks to Bo
