There's a lot going on in this place. Electricity as of yesterday, Wifi as of today, painting nearly done, window sills and cash wrap counter top being installed. It's beginning to look like I might actually get this place open this year after all! 😀

Confirming schedules with the groomers and plan to start booking next week. 🤞🏼 Being cautious as flooring and tile is next and then tubs get installed. I need to make sure we are on schedule to get me a certificate of occupancy so I can welcome you all in!

I think the construction gods are out to get me. As if having to demo the building wasn't bad enough, MN Power can't bring power back to my building until October 23rd. If anyone has an in, put in a good word so they move me up. The construction crew is working off of generators to get finishing work done in the meantime.

We can't wait to see all your pups and schedule all those grooming appointments! On a positive note, I have 2 full time and 1 part time groomer coming on board! So excited for you all to meet the newest member of the grooming team very soon!

And....we are getting very close to announcing an opening date! Exterior and interior finishing work is starting. Materials are all here so fingers crossed labor is quick and efficient!

Preparing your pet for grooming can make a big difference in ensuring a pleasant and stress-free grooming appointment:

1 - Exercise Before: A good walk or play before your appointment helps them expend energy and be calmer making it safer for your pet and the groomer.
2 - Brush Your Pet: Regular brushing helps reduce matting and tangles in the coat making grooming more comfortable.
3 - Get Your Pet Used to Handling: Your pet should be comfortable being touched, especially in areas like the paws, ears, and tail.
4 - Talk to Your Groomer: Let the groomer know if your pet has any special requirements, fears, or dislikes when booking so they are prepared.
5 - Positive Reinforcement: After the grooming appointment, give your pet lots of praise and treats to create a positive association with grooming.
