It’s that time of year! Modern gun opens tomorrow! Bow season has been open for a few weeks now but gun season is when majority get out in the woods. If you’re wanting a top quality mount, give us a call. Still doing euro mounts as well if you’re wanting to go that route. I have attached a picture showing where to cut and how to cape out your deer for a shoulder or pedestal mount(follow the blue tape). Look for the color change on the backside of the front legs and follow that up to the armpits then down the sides of the body and back towards the bottom of the belly. DO NOT CUT ACROSS THE BRISKET! Many of the newer forms have deep briskets and lots of leg so leave us more than you think. We are always available to speak on the phone if you have any questions. Feel free to message me or call/text anytime, my number is on the page. Keep the hide dry and cold, frozen if possible. Good luck to everyone this season!

Tomorrow is the opening day of modern gun season. Contact me for all your European or shoulder mount needs. This year, as I’m starting to build my taxidermy business, I’m accepting extra deer hides in exchange for credit towards any European mount. Looking forward to getting to mount y’all’s trophies this season.
I have attached diagrams of the correct way to cut and cape out a hide to ensure that you have enough length for any type of mount. If anyone has any questions about caping one out, feel free to contact me and I will help any way I can. Good luck to everyone this season!
