Absolutely beautiful
Nothings
Trying to get out the door with 5 kids is like herding cats, so needless to say we were late to the event this afternoon. As we were asking where to park the car, mentioning that we were trying to make it before the quilt sold….. our parking attendant said. “ ohhh? ….. The quilt???
It just sold! “
Noah’s heart dropped inside because he soooo wanted to see it all in action.
As Savannah and Noah were making their way through the crowd, Mitch Harrington saw them and wanted to fill her in on the quilt.
“Soooo The Quilt” he starts off with.
It’s sold…. And it sold for $1,000.00 😮 ……… but Mitch wasn’t finished speaking.
He says “ it sold for a thousand dollars….. the first time”
Leaving Savannah confused, he continues on explaining that the first couple who won, handed it back to him, donating it be auctioned off once again.
Mitch expressed that it was an emotional moment felt by everyone.
His words kept flowing and he tells her….
“And the second time it also sold at a thousand dollars.
Savannah was tearfully speechless in awe of her 11 year old son, and the beautiful turn of events that followed.
Noah’s heart was lifted within seconds of hearing the news and the rest of the afternoon. The wounds on the outside have long healed, it’s the inside ones that often seem unrelated….those scars…… well they’re still on the mend….. but this too shall pass.
Harrington for Hope is an amazing organization and I encourage you all to go read how it even came to be, and what their mission is.
They give so much more than monetary gifts and needed items. They help give children the hope and strength to move past their outside scars and turn them into stories they tell from their hearts, for the rest of their life.
And if his day wasn’t already overflowing with fun… he topped the evening off with an RC car and a patch of dirt.
Its HANDS ON in tomorrows emulsified sugar scrub class.
Sugar Scrubs like no other
Don’t you just hate those sugar scrubs where most of it ends up in the sink or tub because it falls off your skin before you can ever start exfoliating?
ME TOOOO!
So we’ve been working on a recipe that resembles those high dollar scrubs that are emulsified and stay on your skin while you do your thing.
You could almost refer to it as decadent. Sooo incredibly creamy and with all the exfoliating goodness of the sugar granules that you want in a sugar scrub.
AND THATS NOT ALL cuz we’re making a soap that’s full of good ole exfoliating sugar too….
Just pick up T-shirts from MounTenn Mama customs. I LOVE the Cornhole champ shirt. Who’s going to be wearing this T-shirt and fifty bucks richer?
On Saturday, some lucky kid will be fifty bucks richer and their mom gets a new shirt to wash.
Come see this 1930 John Deer Tractor ❤️
Just finished my veteran memorial garden project.
😂😂😂😂
Excuse me, let me back up a sec…..I say finished, but what I really mean is that I’ve actually just finished one tiny portion of it….. I finished the fun part…. The Not out in the sun part.
Either way, it’s a step forward and I’m counting it.
I knew a year ago that I wanted to honor men and women who’ve served our country.
I knew I’d include my family as well since we’ve had men and women in every branch. I knew I’d included our friends who we’ve known and love that I’d place in there as well.
What I wasn’t aware of at the time, or hadn’t considered before, were all of the men and women who served that used to run the hills that we live amongst.
They bathed and played in the same streams and rivers that run through our land. I’m sure they hunted game in some of the same areas that we ourselves have over the years.
They forged their lives here in the same dirt that we’re currently on with our families and doing the same things.

The first rocks to be placed in the garden will be the soldiers you see right here.
Each of these men listed their hometown as Erasmus Tennessee ❤️
One of them never made it back home.
