About us :
Ly Wells- owner, pet stylist, veterinary technician, pet rescue. Began working with animals in 1988. Became a vet tech and groomer in 1991. Has had a well established grooming business in Crossville since 1995. About our facility-
We take pride in maintaining a CLEAN grooming facility. Just because dirty dogs come through the door, doesn't mean the salon should smell that way! We offer

play and lounging areas , with beds and toys, for dogs that are housebroken. If you delay in returning for your dog, we will be happy to walk your dog for you. We love our job, and care about each critter that walks through our door. Being that we also have experience in veterinary care, we will promptly notify you if we see something on your pet that needs medical attention. Sometimes that has meant saving a pets life! We do not rush our job. Each pet is different. Young or old, healthy or not, laid back, hyper, or anxious, they have good days and bad days just like we do. However, rest assured that unless you need us to keep your pet longer, we like to send them home as soon as they are ready. No need to leave them for several hours. If your pet has any special needs or health concerns, please let us know so that we can make your pet's visit as comfortable as possible. We have an open grooming area. No surprises here. We believe that our clients should have a one on one relationship with their pet's groomer. Communication is important! Your pet will be most comfortable with the same familiar person each visit. Your groomer will ALWAYS be your groomer. While some walk-in services are available, we STRONGLY recommend scheduling grooming appointments ahead of time. Most of our clients book for the entire year. To guarantee an appointment, please schedule your next one when you come back to pick up your pet. We don't ban ANY breeds. We welcome them all. From 2 lbs to 200 lbs. We also groom cats. We require that all pets be treated for fleas BEFORE coming into our salon. We don't want fleas in our building please!!! Nothing speaks more than references. We can provide plenty, including veterinary references.

PET SAFETY REMINDER: Remember that asphalt (and concrete) gets HOT during the summer and can cause burns to pets’ feet. On a 77-degree day asphalt temps have measured as high as 125 degrees – and on an 87-degree day as high as 143 degrees (it’s already 88 today in central Iowa and temps are climbing, so even more dangerous)! Skin destruction can occur in as little as 1 minute on a 125-degree surface. To keep your pet safe, press the back of your hand firmly against the asphalt (or concrete) for 7 seconds before walking your dog on it. If it’s not comfortable for you, it could potentially harm your pup. Even better, walk your dog in the grass to not even risk paw damage.

Wishing Melissa a speedy recovery!! ♥️

Dear clients, first of all I want to thank each and every one of you that was understanding and flexible with moving appointments this Friday and Saturday, after I suffered a terrible injury on our farm Thursday evening. I was attacked by a bull and rendered unconscious. I have a skull fracture with contusion, a small brain bleed, as well as a laceration on my head. I have bruising all over my body, a broken, left thumb and fractured wrist.
That being said, my doctor seems to feel that I will be OK to return to work on Monday with certain limitations. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your patience and understanding.
And for those who were upset and felt that their dog’s haircut was more important than my life, I’m sorry… you’re welcome to look for another groomer.

Missed you too, Bella 😘😘😘

Still happening. Here locally…. I’ve had several clients in this same scenario. Please be extra observant! There’s always WAY TOO LONG of a delay before FDA releases info and recalls are made. Years even. In the mean time, pets die.

Hundreds of dog and cat owners are complaining that their pet food is making their pets sick, some even dying.
