Little Miss Molly update:
It has been 2 weeks post liver shunt surgery for Molly and she is doing well. Each day she becomes stronger and closer to her goal of becoming a normal puppy. Liver shunt repair has a long healing process … 3 - 6 months but so worth it. Molly we are wishing good health for you in 2026.

We have a new guy to end the year. We have named him Lang. It is appropriate as he will bid farewell to his past and will have a Happy New Year. He came to us from a shelter. He is very scared and can not be touched. We will give him lots of space. We do not know anything else about him at this time. Watch for updates

We are wishing Foster Maize a
Happy Healthy New Year for 2026
Maize has spent the last 3 days at the vet receiving her last Heartworm treatment. Maize will be spending most of January on restricted activity and medications. At the end of the month Maize will return to the vet for bloodwork and exam in hope to be heartworm free.

Update: Adoption pending

Foster Otto is a young active dog! He needs a secure fence in his forever home. He is one of those dachshunds that if he can escape a fence yard he would. It would be best for him to have another young small active canine buddy and a Doxy savvy home that will help to continue to teach him as he has some resource guarding regarding toys and food. Foster Molly update:
It is almost week since Molly’s surgery.

“As Molly’s foster Mom, I just can’t thank everyone enough for all the support you’ve shown this little girl on her journey. Molly is an amazing little girl and never meets a stranger. Not long after her surgery, she rolled over for a belly rub from the vet staff. How much more sweet can you get than that? I’m happy to report that she is eating well and the hardest part of her recovery has been keeping her still to recuperate! Molly gives the best puppy kisses and is sending you all one!”
