Izzy Update:
Miss Izzy’s surgery went well yesterday and she is recovering quite nicely … eating and back to her spunky self. Izzy had a walnut sized tumor removed + 2 parathyroids and a lymph node from her right side. They were sent out for biopsy … usually they are cancerous. We should get the lab results in 2 weeks and at that time we will consult with PU Small Animal Hospital for treatment options. Meanwhile this little sweetheart can’t wait to be released.

Guess who will be at our 2025 Howl-A-Weenie Dash which will be held on October 12, 2025 in Lockport, IL Yep the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile! We will have the big one and the small pedal car one, so lots of photo ops.

We are giving our followers first chance to register for the Dash as we have a Capacity Limit. See TicketLeap link below. You do not need to register to attend the Dash only register if your dachshund(s) will be racing.

Lastly, we are looking for donations of new non-dachshund items for our fundraiser baskets. Gift cards, electronics, small home appliances, tools... Please send us a DM if you can donate. Thanks.

Mama Maize had her 3 pups by c-section.
Mabel - black/Tan
Gus - Black/Tan
Matilda - Brown w/white chest
Mabel & Gus are both bigger pups and doing fine nursing. Matilda/ Tilly the runt of the litter was born with a cleft palette so foster mom Sara is hand feeding her + she is trying to nurse too. Tilly seems content but we are still concerned that she is getting enough milk.
