It was touch and go for a little while, as this guy had a stubborn Swim Bladder problem. It took two rounds of treatment, but finally he got better!

Athena has a belly full of eggs. No clue when she will have them lol, but she's a protective mama bear and even built a nest for them (which is rare, as that's the male's job!)
And Ares has such a HUGE attitude... He doesn't realize he's itty bitty and adorable haha.
They've both come a long ways and are ready to go to a new home NOW!

For real though, isn't this cool? Usually Male Bettas make the bubble nest, and care for the eggs until they hatch, but SOMETIMES the female will make one!

Been eyeballing this sweetie for over a week. I saw him gradually decline as his water got dirtier, and his swim bladder started failing.
Scooped him up today before he could get any worse. Last week the cup he was next to had a deceased betta 😭
This boy is absolutely gorgeous. He's kinda shy right now, but I don't think it'll take him long to perk up.
He's in a hospital tank for a week, until he finishes his medicine.
Can't wait to see him blossom 😱🥰

Athena is a gorgeous female Veiltail, who came in at the same time as her "possibly-real-but-also likely-not" brother Ares.
Today she got upgraded from the hospital tank, to a new 5.5 gallon tank outfitted with all the necessities!
She will be available for adoption soon!
