Final Schooling Show of 2024
We had a GREAT time this past weekend at Excelsior Equestrian Center for our final horse show of the year. All the horses, ponies, and humans worked so incredibly hard and brought home ribbons. You’ll see them hanging on their stalls when you’re here for your lesson or event. Be sure to congratulate our equine friends on a job well done!
Thank you to Excelsior for providing a wonderful and safe environment to bring our horses to. Especially since we had some first time horses and riders in the ring. These schooling shows are so important and we appreciate all you do to make them happen!
It’s hay Wednesday! The final piece to the hay making puzzle. It’s a bit more difficult to video in the skid loader because it takes both hands and both feet to work it. This is just a short glimpse of this job.
Baby Hershey got to make some new friends! He is growing so big way too fast. His sister Freya was so happy to be in the same turn out as him.
What’s a horse’s favorite season?
Hay season!
When the weather turns warm and the rains subside, we head to the fields to make those precious bales of hay for our beloved four-legged friends.
There are always lots of questions about how hay is made, so during this summer season we thought we’d walk you through how it’s done!
Every Wednesday we’ll post a different part of the hay making process.
Today, we’re taking you for a short “ride” in the tractor. You’ll notice some VERY important things in the cab including:
Phone charger
Music
Water
And SNACKS
We’re in the tractor for hours at a time, so these items make the job even more enjoyable. That and the air conditioning!
Join us next Wednesday to learn about the first step in hay making…mowing!
