Puppy pickup #7 & my last puppy to go home! 🏡🐾❤️

Let me start with apologizing for the delay in posting, facebook has been deleting my posts left and right (old & new), so I figured I’d lay low for a while! Lol

A lot of you know Reagan Humphries, but for the ones who don’t… My best friend for the last 10 years, rodeo athlete, NC State Alumni… The list goes on and on, but now she gets to add “Wes’s mommy” to the list! 🩵 being my bestie, you know she has seen millions of pictures and videos of this litter, but little did I know she has her eye on Wesley for a while now!! Lots of inquiries about this stunning fella, but things just kept barely slipping through the cracks. I guess it was for a reason! Rea texted me one random Saturday morning saying she wanted him! 🥹

Congratulations to the Humphries Family on adding this tri color bluie, Wes to the family! 🩵

Also, peep the pictures of Rea and I with my first corgi, Fergie as a puppy back in 2018. 🥹

And they all lived happily ever after! That’s a wrap on the Kate x Poncho Litter! 🐾🐶🎬

Puppy Pickup #6 🩵

When Jacquelyn messaged me about a puppy, I knew she was serious from the start! She had her sights set on this sweet guy and made things happen fast! She and the family come to get him the very next morning! Scout, orginally Wyatt will get to experience the adventures of farm life and two kids that are absolutely crazy about him! What a lucky guy! 🍀

Puppy pickup #5 🩵

This substantial pup has consistently been the largest in the litter and is also bursting with personality! He appears to be settling seamlessly into his new home, bringing joy to his family and also establishing a new friendship between me and his new mom, Kaitlyn Cox! Formerly known as Doc, Chug has found his forever 🏡 Notably, Chug will remain nearby, allowing for convenient reunions. 🩵🙏🏻

VIRG😭🩵 Makenzie Loudermilt

The CUTEST puppy!😍 This is Virgil, a beautiful 11-week-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, who came to see Dr. Pendergrass and RVT Lauren for his third well-puppy visit today. Hooman mom will be signing him up for his first Puppy Socialization Class with us!🥳 She said he hates the vacuum cleaner, so hopefully this class will help him calm down on all the barking at it!😂

Puppy pickup #4 🩵

Miss Annie, ohhhh how you have a hold on my heart. The debate for me to keep her was serious… Every time I picked her up or looked at her I thought “Her markings are perfect”, “Her eyes are so kind”, and “Her sweet personality is infectious” 💕 and then I would remind myself, “I already have a sable bluie female… ”, “I’m not sure if I have room for a puppy of my own right now” It was a battle everyday! 💔

Then… I Run into Amy Harless Miller in the Tractor Supply checkout line. 😊 (Getting dog food, of course!) It went something like this ⬇️

The Cashier was checking Amy out, looked up to see me next in line and said, “Hey Mattie!”

Amy says, “Are you Mattie with the corgis?” (I get that a lot) 🤣

Very flattered I said, “Yes, I am!”

And well, I think you can figure out the rest!!! 😅

After chatting for a minute, Amy told me she is actually my long time friend, Savannah Snyder Miller’s mother in law! Savannah purchased a sable bluie puppy from me back in the spring of this year. 🥰 Amy fell in love with the breed from being around Savannah’s corgi, Hank. Which is actually little miss Annie’s full sibling!

Amy is tickled to death with this sweet girl. I feel so lucky she’s went to someone that would love her as much as I do! Thank you and congratulations Ms. Amy on your purchase of your Sable bluie female, Annie. 🤍

Congratulations and thank you to Jessica Richardson on her purchase of 'Rocker,' originally, 'Hickok’!

Jessica’s husband had long desired a corgi, and she surprised him with his very own Bluie Merle Pembroke Welsh corgi. Jessica had been eagerly anticipating the pickup for weeks and continues to keep me informed about their delight with this new addition!

Puppy pick up #2 🩵

Congratulations and thank you to John and Makenzie on not only adding Mr. Virgil to their family, but also on their engagement! 💍💒

Funny story… they come to look at the puppies, said they would go home, think about it, and get some things together… I get a call almost an hour later from Makenzie📱📞 saying they had pulled over on the side of the road, talked about it some more, and decided they had to have Virgil! So, they come back to get him right then! 🥹

These are some of the kindest people I have met and they make me feel so confident in a home for this sweet fella. The compliments they gave me on my puppies and how I do things made my heart swell!

Sweet Virgil seems to be settling in nicely at his forever home. 🏡❤️Thank you again, John and Makenzie!!

It’s puppy pick up time!! My little bits are going home which makes me heart swell and crack a little at the same time. 🫶🏻

Thank you and congratulations to Marion and Rick Stafford on their Bluie Merle puppy. Originally “Butch” now, “Blue”! 🤩

Marion and Rick had a deposit down on my waiting list for several months and were specially wanting vibrant blue eyes… They patiently waited, my girl Kate delivered, and the rest was history! Everyone of these puppies have blue eyes! 🩵🤞🏻

Marion, Rick, Griffin and Elodie have been nothing short of patient, kind and full of enthusiasm to me. Griffin said as they were getting in the car to leave, “Well Mattie, it’s been fun!” Indeed it has!🫶🏻

Update on my love bugs 🫶🏻(and I)🙂

Due to hurricane Helene this has been a hectic week to say the least. Most of you know, but for the ones who don’t, I live in the Appalachian Mountains. Ashe County, Nc is where I’ve called home my whole life and to see my little county quite literally destroyed in some areas is devastating. Like a close friend of mine said… I guess it’s naive to think that something like this couldn’t happen here… let alone be hit so hard but a hurricane that first touched down over 700 miles away from here. We are 3000 ft above sea level.

To say my family and I got away lucky doesn’t begin to cover it. I’ve been thanking my God that my inconveniences have consisted of no power at home (day 8️⃣), no cell service (SOS) at home, walking around in the dark with head lamp, and carrying water from town twice a day for all my animals, all on top of work and regular chores. Many others didn’t fair NEAR as well. I’ve also been volunteering in town trying to help organize, load and unload donated supplies to those in need. I can’t remember the last time I was this tired. 😴

So if you have messaged or called me inquiring about a puppy and I didn’t respond, I may not have gotten it at all. PLEASE reach out again!!
