We had a vet day last week with Tonka and Titan. As you can see, Titan is quite comfortable and enjoying his play time while waiting on the doctor.

I love listening to all these hooves trotting by the property everyday. They echo for a good mile coming up the hills. We're always trading waves with the passerbys.

Do you have any old IBC totes with cages floating around and you're not sure what to do with them? Flip the cages over and install some sort of Siding makes for great portable animal housing. We are building 5 of these for our goats. Best part is I can slip the tractor forks in at the top and move them all around the property with ease. This is the first one and the animals love it!!!

So who can we spot light today??? Here is our newest addition, Salem. He suddenly appeared on our farm this past weekend. We woke to hear Jasmine barking in her pen early in the morning and when Rebecca went out to see what was going on, she found this little (assumed to be male) kitten. Too young to be gone from momma. All we can think is that he was meant to be dinner for something and somehow got away. Lucky for him he ended up here where we have a hard time saying no obviously. So this is young Salem and he will be our first barn cat to keep the mice at bay!

So the other day a Black Vulture came in hard and crash landed in our goat pen. I watched as the goats stared it down and they all herded together and began to walk as a group towards the large bird. The bird attempted to fly but couldn't and stumbled across the field. At this point the bird realy had the attention of the goats as they wanted to know what this new addition was. We went inside and easily caught it as it had a hurt leg and was having a hard time getting around. We put it into a dog crate and covered the crate with a towel to keep it calm hoping we could get a game warden or a bird rescue to call us back. Just as it was getting dark, we learned noone would be able to make it out to us. They wanted us to go ahead and let mother nature take course and so we released the poor thing. Apparently those few hours of down time were enough for it to get its bearings back as eventually it was able to fly off. This made us feel better knowing it could avoid predators if need be. This video was watching it finally take flight at the end of the day.

Here's Buckley! This is our first little one we started with. Buckley was a bottle baby as both his mother and a little later his sibbling died during the kidding process. Buckley was the lone survivor. He has grown so much already, being born on Feb 22, 2022. He is another stud and will be able to produce many future Buckley's to come. He has the best personality and I don't think he even knows he is a goat to be honest.

This is "Sunshine Rose" lovingly named by our youngest who is 6. She is our only little doe with waddles. Sunshine loves to be loved on and is quite affectionate. She was born on January 24th and is just shy of the 7 month mark.

Here come the chickens! We're still building more coops for them to be able to spread out, but they seem pretty happy tonight.
