Anyone around CR and Dunnellon that want a Fresh Cut (like minutes before I leave the WNC mountains where the best are grown) Fraser Fur Christmas tree? The best of the best!!! Should be in Lake Rouseau around 1pm tues if you do. Wish I had pictures, will comment some Tues morn....

Blueberries taking their sweet time ripening, looks like its gonna be a couple more weeks for picking to start. Nectarines, same time...Peaches even later....patience....

Candlemaking tonight....
Blueberry/Lavender scented in this batch....
Will have Blueberry and Peach scented ones available for sale also...(the feedback is: they smell wonderful and burn for a long time!)
Also, mason jars are now about $1ea., I'm now re-purposing thrift store mugs for 25cents+-...that way I can sell them cheaper...and you get a free fancy glass or a coffee mug...ha

Blueberry picking will be coming in on a limited basis this coming weekend, check with me around Friday if you want some...

Nectarines and then Peaches will start around May 1st......

Apples don't grow in Florida?

Heresy, Heresy I say!!!!

Just counted 60 on this one tree..(have to quickly thin down 10-20..)..three year old baby tree can only hold so much, but this pretty lady certainly is doing her part..........I have tons of these plants for sale in nursery also...feed your need ...new to growing them myself, only my the fourth year but there's nothing like grabbing one off the tree and they get just as big or bigger than anything in the store and I could promise you when you cut into it and you bite on it you can say "damn this is the best apple I ever had in my life"... I certainly did/do....
5gal pots, quarter size caliper, 4 foot tall, proper structurally trained (one in photo in ground and is one year older than these for sale)
$35ea, 2for$60, 3 for $85.....
Dorsett Golden and Anna variety.... mix them for optimal production.....

Easter4-12-23 Edit photo dookie of crash-crib. Whatya thunk?

Been wintering in the mountains of WNC on a project....tiny crash-crib...
..I'll be down soon to prep for Blueberry Peach season, march fertilizer and field tune-up tasks....
..Crop harvests early May, until Late June.
..hope for a bumper crop!!!! Peaches are blooming like crazy early and much fruit set already...if we can avoid a late frost of freeze, that'd be great. Highly doubtful! March 15th is the all-clear for me....by end of Feb, you can almost read the 15 day forecast...
..Blueberry crop should be strong this being year three...

Anyway, just touching base. If you have any questions, Google it...haha no, hope to see many of you in about 10 weeks, OK?

Blueberry picking is on tap NOW, starting off here and there, but picking season will get stronger each and every day for about 2-weeks and then taper off.
No set hours on farm this year, by appt only, so if you want some, text or call so I can make sure I'm here for you..

Only so little I will have this year, be one of the lucky ones....peak harvest 4weeks, won't starting rolling good til about then.

I do have plenty of baby 3gal blueberry plants ON SALE 7 for $100bucks...look at past listings..and also "like" or "share" however that works. Help to spread the word around, but preferred customers in 4mile radius only is the idea

Harvest schedule thoughts:

Being a "low production" farm this first year, the plan is to be open Tuesday and Saturday from 8am-noon.

A few customers can probably pick all that I have available on one day, and 3 days rest will bring a new batch to full ripeness, ready to pick over again.

You can call anytime for availability, in fact I have some Blues that need to be picked today.

Peaches and critical mass of blueberries is still a month away.

The nursery has a sale on plants if you'd like to get some to grow your own, again, call ahead so I can make sure I'm here for you, as Im in and out and don't really have an "open/closed" schedule of hours.

Again, there are some blueberries that are ready NOW, so if one or three of you would like to pick some, give me a hollar.

We're getting pretty close to harvest season.

Not a whole lot of anything being a 14month old farm, however, quite a few Blueberries, some Peaches, and just a few Apples...hope you can get some.

Critical mass of fruit picking will be mid-May to mid-June, hope you can get some.

Nursery plants of aforementioned fruit trees I have available for sale.....Blueberries and Apple trees mostly.....

Blueberry Clearance Sale going on now......3gallon bushes loaded with fruit go for:

7 for $100

Apples as low as $10, biggest 10gal for $40
(best to have more than one, for cross-pollination, better production, they say)

First Cut on Blueberries today.

My sister came over and got a few, and I picked all that was ready after they left.

Very young UPick farm and not expecting a huge amount of production this year....but they will be supremely good.

Nursery potted plants may have more Berries than field grown...lol

Anyway, headed to the mountains of NC early AM for fresh cool air....until next weekend, then,we'll be rolling pretty good...y'all behave while I'm gone.😉

April 2nd update:
Berries and such are in grow mode, most blooms are gone now and fruit it set. Loaded up pretty good for this young farm. Blueberries may be picking will be from last week of April until late June....

Also, still have lots of 3gallon Blueberry plants for sale...$16ea, 2for$30, and 7/$100.
Also Apple trees that produce here, as low $6-$40ea
