Good morning, friends!

I wanted to take a moment to share a quick update with you. I recently had an unexpected two-night stay in the hospital. While I’m slowly starting to feel better, I’m not quite at 100% yet.

To accommodate my recovery, I’ll be making some adjustments for the rest of January. If I don’t reach out to you directly, please know that your pet’s care remains on my schedule as planned. ❤️

Your patience and understanding mean the world to me. I pour so much of myself into Danette’s Comfy Critters, so it’s incredibly hard to slow things down—but I know I need to prioritize my health so I can continue providing the best care for your fur babies.

Looking ahead, I’ll be reaching out soon to update everyone’s emergency contact information for 2025. Thank you for your continued support!

Wrapping up the year with a NYE barkuterie board for the most well-behaved boys and girls sleeping over tonight!!!

Our very own We**ie decided she didn't want to be in any photos, so all of hers were a big ole blur!!! I will also say, taking photos of these and the pups were alot easier when my son was here to assist🤣🤣

Welcome to the Comfy Critters family sweet lil Winston. His family is from Mississippi and are in the area going on a boat tour and needed a place to bring their adorable pup for the day.

He's such a cutie and had loved spending time with his new friends....even sitting on their head 🤣

I’m beyond excited to welcome new furry (or feathered) friends in 2025 as we continue to grow our Comfy Critters family!

Located in Crystal River, just a short distance from Publix, I offer a serene and private retreat for your dogs. With over an acre of fenced-in property, your dogs can run, play, and explore to their heart’s content. Here, they are truly treated like family.

I provide doggy daycare, boarding, and drop-in visits for cats. As a low-volume, professional pet sitter, I pride myself on giving every pet the care and attention they deserve.

Thank you for making this journey so rewarding—I can’t wait to see what 2025 brings!

Updates for 2025!

As we welcome the new year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for trusting Danette's Comfy Critters with the care of your beloved pets. Your continued support means the world to us, and we are honored to be part of your furry family’s life.

To ensure we continue providing the exceptional care and attention your pets deserve, we’re making a few updates to our rates and policies, effective February 1, 2025.

🟨Holiday Rates

For the holidays listed below, a +$5 holiday rate will be applied to reflect the extra time and care your pets receive during these very busy times. This ensures we can provide focused attention, even on special days.

New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day
Independence Day
Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

🟩General Rate Adjustment

Starting February 1, 2025, there will be a slight increase in our standard rates. This change helps us account for rising costs while maintaining the quality care and reliability you’ve come to expect from us.

🟪Updated Payment Policy

To streamline bookings and ensure availability:

All bookings must be paid in full before services begin.

For boarding, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance due before your pet’s first day of care.

We understand that adjustments can take time, and we’re here to answer any questions you may have. These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to providing the attentive, loving care your pets deserve while maintaining the personal touch you know and love.

Sir Arthur loves his daddy Steve!!! He knows he saved him and they bonded on the long road trip from Ohio to Crystal River.

He's adjusted fantastic to life here and we think we are finally getting his hyperthyroidism under control. Please keep your fingers and paws crossed that he has no more medication reactions and stays on the road to better health, because we sure do love this 16 year old gentleman❤️❤️

Today is my last visit with this beautiful Butterfly.

I've spent all week dropping in on her and playing, talking and singing, petting, brushing and just being with her. She is just as sweet as can be and I love my time with her.

Happy holidays friends!

Words really can't explain how happy it makes me to see your dogs and cats come out of their shell and truly be goofy and silly and be comfortable here and with me. Miss Lucy is a newly adopted teeny tiny girl and when she first started coming here a couple months ago, she was so scared. Her mom and I worked with her and she's been coming for daycares and slumber parties and we have officially gained her trust and she is the silliest lil thing. She has come so so far and we are so proud of her!!!!

Here comes Lucy Goosey!!!

Sweet sweet Lily was here for daycare again to get her ready for her week long slumber party coming up. She is such a good girl, with a mystery past that has made her somewhat a shell of a dog. She has had some improvements since last year thanks to her amazing mom & dad and she is happy and content and loved so so much!! It's just how Lily is and we all love her no matter what! ❤️

UPDATE MARLEY HAS BEEN FOUND. THE POLICE TRACKED THEM DOWN AND MARLEY IS SAFE AND HOME. STOLEN dog in Chicago My friends sweet Marley girl was stolen yesterday. If any of my @followers have connections, family or friends in Chicago, could you please share this post? I am trying to help her as much as I can get the word out, her family is absolutely completely heartbroken. Marley is spayed, chipped and has a pink collar on with tags. Area stolen 107th and Aberdeen Jackie Robinson Park. Police has been contacted. Local Chicago media had been contacted. She had posted in many local to her Facebook groups and PawBoost. Facebook won't let me share photos at the same time as this video, so I will share photos in my comments.
