Copiah Animal Shelter is a nonprofit, volunteer-based, limited intake animal welfare organization supporting Copiah County, Mississippi (MS) and surrounding communities. CAS shelters and cares for homeless animals for adoption into loving homes. Adoption donation fees vary and include age-appropriate shots and spay/neuter. CAS is located at 27084 Highway 51 (at Hwy. 27), Crystal Springs, MS 39059

CAS Phone: 601-954-6447. Open M-F, 9-5. Copiah Animal Shelter is next door to "All About Animals Veterinary Clinic". The Vet Clinic does NOT manage incoming animals for the Shelter; please call the Shelter phone to see if we have space available. (Official name: Copiah County Animal Shelter, Inc.)

We desperately need to help these shelter dogs out. Day after day they wait and are so good for us as we do our usual routine. Almost all of them have it down so good there are no instructions or demands to be said to them. Some have been waiting for waaaaay to long. We have a field trip from Mendenhall coming soon to visit but they don’t see people and strangers enough to social like they need. The weather is warming up and I’m begging for volunteers to come spend time with the dogs. Foster them., get the out of the environment so they can decompress for awhile. Anything helps. Donations for treats and toys. Shade covers to have them out more in the yards when it’s hot.

Anyone that’s able and willing to foster would be a good time to set that up., need to start getting these shelter dogs that haven’t ever adapted to home life before accustomed to the environment to encourage people to adopt them without so much work to get them comfortable. These dogs are so good and have been here for to long.

Anything helps 🐾🐾

Can’t foster then come visit and get them more social.
Can’t make the time for visits then donate towards them to help us vet more, toys treats, supplies for the workers to keep them happy and clean.

Trying to enjoy the most is what warm weather we have left., I grabbed some videos (check comments) today of some of the dogs we walked around the lot., we have such good good dogs that have been with us for way way way to long.

Starting a new year , I want to see everyone of these babies get out this year!

Consider coming to visit to give love and treats to the dogs. They need more interaction.

Who’s doesn’t love a little Christmas spirit 🎄🎄
We try our best to make our doggos feel special this time a year.

We’ve got items to take Christmas pictures of them. Which is a job itself but I’m in the process of getting them taken this week.

If anyone is feeling bright and merry, the dogs would love visitors to come sit with them and give them pets scratches and some extra love.
They would also love toys (no ropes please) and treats (no rawhides please).

If anyone else is feeling generous we are always excepting donations.,

Terriers., pretty popular, most people consider them house dogs. But yet I have 5 or 6 sitting in the shelter. All love bugs and would make great companions 🐾
They would love visits , love, treats, and maybe even a walk since the weather is cooling off.
