making Blueberry 🫐 jelly!
make the juice!
Boil 4 pints of blueberries 🫐 and 1/2 cup water. stir crushing the berries. after boiling for 5 to 10 minutes, remove from heat. Strain through a jelly bag or cheese cloth.
Jelly:
combine juice with 4 tablespoons lemon 🍋 juice, 7 cups of sugar. Stir , bring to a rolling boil. Add 2 packets of liquid pectin and boil for 1 minute.
pour into jars, leave 1/4 inch headspace. Put on 2 piece lid, rims finger tight. Water bath for 10 minutes ( 4oz and 8 Oz jars)
cool slowly- I cover with a kitchen towel and leave overnight.

We went to 4 Towns Farm in Seekonk and picked some gorgeous strawberries 🍓 this morning.

Strawberry Jelly:
Make juice: wash and remove caps of 6 pounds of strawberries 🍓; put in pot with 1/3 cup water, bring to a boil stirring and crushing berries.
once done, strain through a cheese cloth to remove seeds and pulp.
