How is Purple Cat so affordable?

☝️The biggest reason we can offer low-cost surgery is that we specialize in cat spays and cat neuters. Working with only one species with just the need for sterilization surgery allows us to become very fast and proficient. This reduces the time needed to perform the surgeries, and therefore we can perform more surgeries in a given time for less cost.

✌️The other most important reason we can offer low-cost surgery is that we function with a very low number of paid staff members. We rely on word of mouth, Facebook, and the area shelters and humane societies to advertise for us.

How was your Purple Cat experience?

We have spayed and neutered over 35,000 cats in the last six years and some folks STILL have not heard of us.

If you have had a positive experience with Purple Cat, please put in a review on Google. Give details that will help cat owners feel good bringing their cats to Purple Cat for surgery. If you had a poor experience, of course, you're free to post that as well, but I hope you contact us first so we can improve. Purple Cat wants nothing more than to prevent unwanted litters of cats, and it starts with affordable spay/neuter options.

Purple Cat requires all cats and kittens to be vaccinated prior to their surgery appointment. Only feral cats that cannot be handled are exempt.

This vaccine protects against three very common viruses (herpes, calici, panleukopenia) that cause symptoms ranging from upper respiratory infection to vomiting/diarrhea and very sadly to death. These viruses are found everywhere in the environment – they are outside your home and sometimes can be tracked into your home. We have made this a requirement due to the increased number of cases this year.

Meet Shadow-From matted mess to majestic lion!

When SNAP't Cat Rescue found Shadow, his fur was so matted that his tail was practically stuck in place! But thanks to some TLC and a fresh lion cut, he’s a brand new cat. Just look at his transformation!

Big thank you to Jenna for giving Shadow his makeover when he was in for his neuter yesterday! He’s feeling lighter, happier, and ready for a fresh start.

We love helping long haired groom-challenged kitties feel their best. If your feline friend needs a lion cut, we offer this service for $150-$175 (sedation included). Space is limited and we can only accommodate young healthy cats.

Plan ahead and get your cat scheduled for their spay or neuter appointment. Spay appointments available the beginning of February and neuter appointments available as soon as next week! All surgeries can be scheduled through our website, purplecatvet.com.

$70 farm/feral surgery for either gender (includes rabies and distemper vaccines and MANDATORY left ear tip)
