I've never been good at flowers but these stumps were a bit of a thorn I couldn't get out.
Over 3 months ago we lost 2 large beautiful trees that shaded the front of our house to a tornado. All that remains are two stumps of trees so green they should never have fallen. So my humor and attempt at flowers is to shrine them as mini gardens. As if they were meant to be there as stumps.

I'm told pansies do well thru the winter
We shall see how they fair in the coming weeks.

It has taken 6 weeks but some coop consolidating is finally working! Anyone who has tried to move large birds around knows they do not like change but finally our 7 geese are all together in the main coop with the chickens and ducks.
This really is about convenience as it gets chilly... Feed consolidation makes chores so much easier!
Love it when a plan comes together for once!

4 years into this crazy farm hobby and I now have learned to replace something so simple as hydraulic rings.
My poor pitiful kubota gives me all the grace I don't deserve and keeps on running.

Seasons I have learned living in North Georgia:
Almost summer, real summer, death by fire ants summer, hotAF summer, fake fall, second summer, mushroom summer (clearly we are here) and lastly not summer aka winter everywhere else but we still have mosquitoes
When it's almost November and 80 but gets down to low 60's at night the mushrooms go crazy. Probably not edible but they're pretty!
To all my friends up north I see your snow storms: Get those long johns ready!

Doing some much overdue yard clean up on this morning and Turkey Terry Crews and his gang of misfits would not stop following me around in protest. Pretty sure he was organizing a strike on account of the lack of treats being distributed. Or maybe its because the ladies have been put in quarantine from his behavior.

After losing majority of the garden to a small tornado last month I was surprised to see a few signs of life... A very odd shaped watermelon, some bees keeping my hopes of a couple pumpkins alive and the weirdest mushroom I've ever seen. Not what I imagined when I started this year but here we are.
I will have to live vicariously through everyone else's garden posts this year!

What an exhausting weekend very different from what I had planned while sweating out all the frustration and profanity this big guy was waiting for me at my door

After a crazy week at my corporate day job where I think I didn't see the sun all week I was pleased to spend some time outside in this humid gross heat and see all the bees happy at work pollinating my tomatillos!

I have fresh lemon balm in $5 bundles for any of my local peeps that want front porch pick up. PM me if you want to stop by.
For those who have never eaten lemon balm it is great to zest up a salad or dried into tea. It can also be diced and folded into soaps.
