🌟Introducing Salem, the sweetest little black kitten who recently visited UrgentVet Cu***ng!🐾✨ This adorable furball came in with a pesky upper respiratory infection, leaving her feeling a bit under the weather.😢

Our compassionate team was quick to give Salem all the love and care she needed. After a thorough examination, we provided her with the right treatment plan to help her breathe easier and get back to her playful self.🐱🩷

When we followed up with Salem's pet pawrent, she let us know that this little house panther was acting like herself and ready to conquer her kingdom again! 🐾✨Meet Olivia, the brave little explorer! She recently had quite the adventure at UrgentVet Cu***ng after giving her human a nasty scare.😟 Olivia had what appeared to be a seizure, which sent her mom straight to UrgentVet with little Olivia.🏥 When she got to the clinic, Olivia was limp and barely responsive.😢💔

Our dedicated veterinary team jumped into action to ensure that Olivia received the care she needed.🩺 With some diagnostics and treatments to help this sweet pup, our veterinarian diagnosed her with a probable anaphylactic event from a bug bite or sting.

With some medications and lots of cuddles, Olivia was ready to leave the clinic with her head high and her tail wagging, all set to take on a world of squirrels and sticks!🐿🌳 After they got home, Olivia's human called to confirm that she found a bee right where Olivia had been playing before all this started. Ouch!🐝🐶

🐾✨Introducing Whiskey, the lovable Vizsla who recently visited UrgentVet Cu***ng for some joint pain that was slowing him down. Vizslas tend to be high-energy dogs, and Whiskey is no exception, so seeing him slowed down was hard for everyone, specially his pet pawrents.🐶💔

🏥🩺Fortunately, our dedicated veterinary team knew just what to do! After a thorough snoot-t-tail exam and some radiographs, our veterinarian was able to prescribe just the right treatments to get Whiskey feeling better quickly.💉💊

🎃🐾Hey pet parents! With Halloween here, we at UrgentVet Cu***ng want to help you keep your furry friends safe from common toxins and other dangers that can lurk around the festivities. Here are a few things to watch out for:

🍬**Candy:** Most people know that chocolate is dangerous for pets, but even sugar-free candies, particularly those containing xylitol, can be very harmful to our four-legged family members.

🎃**Pumpkin:** While fresh pumpkin is safe, beware of any molds or rotten pumpkin that can cause stomach issues.

🕯**Candles & Decorations:** Curious paws and waving tails can easily knock over candles, leading to burns or fires. Keep decorations out of reach!

👻**Costumes:** Make sure any costumes for your pets are comfortable and don't restrict movement or breathing. Always supervise your pets while they're dressed up!

🌟Introducing Freya, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi!🌟

🐶Freya recently came to UrgentVet Cu***ng for some lethargy and a lack of coordination, possibly as a reaction to eating a bug.😢 Without any known toxin exposure for Freya, our veterinarian treated her symptomatically and hospitalized her on IV fluids for a few hours to help flush any toxins out of her system.🩺

The fluids seemed to help and when her mom came to get her, Freya was wagging her whole back end to let mom know she felt better❣️ When we followed up with Freya's family the next day, they said she seemed back to normal! Now that's what we like to hear!!💜✨

🐾🐩This distinguished-looking gentleman is Jimi, the Standard Poodle!✨

🏥Jimi recently visited UrgentVet Cu***ng with an ear infection.😢 But no worries, our veterinary team jumped in to help him feel better!🩺 After an ear cytology to determine whether Jimi was suffering from an overgrowth of yeast, bacteria, or both, our veterinarian was able to treat Jimi with some antibiotics and anti-inflammatories to try to help him feel better.💉💊

We send all our wishes for a speedy recovery to sweet Jimi❣️ Do your pets have trouble with ear infections? Just like in humans, some pets just have more trouble with this area than others. With the heat still in full swing, remember that our furry friends feel it too! Walking your dog in hot weather can lead to heatstroke and other injuries. Here's why: Concrete and asphalt retain heat, making it much hotter for your pet, and these surfaces can burn their paw pads. When it’s above 80-85 degrees, it’s best to walk your dog in the early morning or at dusk. If that’s not possible, keep walks short and stay on the grass. Always provide plenty of water and watch for signs of heatstroke, such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, and confusion. If you notice any of these, bring your pet to us right away.
