Labrador Friends of the South, Inc. Labrador Friends of the South (LFS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of homeless Labrador Retrievers. Thank you.~

We are based out of ATLANTA, GA. LFS relies solely on donations, fund-raising events and adoption fees to function and continue saving and placing homeless Labradors. We do not receive any state or federal funding. LFS is an all volunteer organization of people who give their time, effort, and love for labs to protect and save them from the perils of pet over-population and irresponsible pet owner

ship. Our ultimate goal is to help these dogs find new, loving, forever homes.

Her little body can’t take any more. We have made the very difficult decision to end her suffering and put her to sleep. We have asked for her ashes. Our founder will be spreading her ashes on her property so she can run free 😭🐾💔 We are all absolutely heartbroken.

🐾 Update on Luna 🐾
7:30PM Update: No improvement. They don't sound positive. We asked them to still move forward the next round of medications. We aren’t ready to give up yet but we need lots of prayers right now.💔😞

We have transferred Luna to a specialty hospital for even more urgent care. Luna has developed aspiration pneumonia, and our vets were concerned she is becoming septic. The next 12-24 hours are going to be very critical. We will update you all as soon as we know more. Luna’s vet bills are continuing to rise but we aren’t stopping our fight, please donate if you can! 🙏🏻

Sweet Luna was just surrender to LFS. Her previous family noticed her not feeling well after going to her new home only days ago. She was brought into one of our partnering vet offices and unfortunately, she tested positive for Parvo.

We are prepared to give this girl a fighting chance but parvo in puppies is very deadly and poor Luna has a 50/50 chance right now. Treating Luna will not be cheap and we need your help to make sure we can get her through this!!

Phoebe is a beautiful 11 month old girl! We pulled Phoebe and her sister Rachel (recently adopted) from a kill shelter in Macon right before Christmas). Phoebe just melts in your arms and desperately wants to be loved. She would make a wonderful family dog and would love to have another 4 legged friend in the house to help keep her company! She has finished her vetting and is ready for adoption!

🐾Adoptable Gryffin 🐾 Swimming lessons have been a hit! Gryffin joined LFS alumni Angus (formerly Energizer from the bunny litter) for some swim lessons today. They had a blast and she has been enjoying some water time. We know someone has to be looking for a cute, furry little fish! 🐟🐟🐟
