All this rain and wind the next two days calls for hay nets in the barn. 🐴 #happyhorses #sharingiscaring
Well demo day was quite satisfying!! Can’t wait for the new shed build to start tomorrow bright and early!! 🤩
Well, some days you win, some days you get bucked off! 🤣 Today was both of those in one lol. Peyton was quite the spicy mare and got a bit too happy with herself at the canter, so off the side I went. Haven’t fallen off in idk how many years, so I guess I was due 😂. Just some soreness on my landing spot but otherwise I’m fine. Lunged her to get her crazies out and got right back on and she redeemed herself. Remember to tuck and roll folks! Learning to fall is just as important as learning to ride! Then finished off the afternoon with a leisurely trail ride on my best boiye. 🐴
Spicy fire breathing red headed baby mare! If you know, you know. 😂 But hey, if that’s the only nonsense she throws in today’s lunge session I’m quite pleased with that, since she’s had a few months off to chill her mind and continue growing her body. 🥳
Throwback to winter of 2022 with chonky being the best hunter pony. ☺️ Planning to get both of us back in shape for this show season.
Someone was happy for breakfast this morning! 😂
Back to Normal!!
WE MADE IT!! It’s been a long 8 weeks after Logan’s surgery but they are finally reunited and it feels so good!! Logan has his girls back!!! I’ve never been so happy to watch my horses run in the field together! This is what makes it all worth it. My heart is so full! 😍🤩🥳
Rain rain rain 🌧
Access to shelter and trees and they still stand out in the weather. At least the horses don’t care about the torrential rain today. 🤷♀️ I’ll be staying inside where it’s dry lol.
Rollin in the deep
Bath time = Roll in the fresh sand. 😂
Nom nom nom
Nom nom nom. Yummy yummy hay! 🐴
Mutual Grooming
So aggressive with their mutual grooming! 😂 Did you know horses will help each other scratch places that are itchy that they can’t reach themselves?!
Thirsty thirsty
Thirsty thirsty ladies. Stay cool out there my friends! 😅
Welcome Sally and Ana!
We would like to wish a very warm welcome to Hannah and her two Mustang ponies Sally and Ana!! After a long 12 hour journey overnight from Indiana the horses made themselves right at home this morning and are grazing peacefully in their new pasture just like we like to see! ☺️😍
Itchy Belly
Logan: *Must. Scratch. Belly.* Things are looking good with his leg and he was able to step down to a simpler bandage and a standing wrap. We can now start hand walking for 5 minutes a day. One more week of stall rest and then he can go to individual turnout. 🤩
Logan Helping with Barn Work
Logan says “Here Mom, I’ll help you make my bed with fresh shavings in my stall!” 😂🤣
Linnea Walking Under Saddle
Literally couldn’t ask for a better baby horse. Had our fourth ride under saddle today and she was absolutely perfect!! We worked on responding to the leg aid and voice command to walk, as well as figuring out steering to the left and right with the reins. Meanwhile she had not a care in the world and only wanted treats for her good behavior per usual. ☺️😍 #babyhorse #3yearold #goodbrain #horsetrainer #slowandsteadywinstherace
Peyton Lunging
Peyton is slowly building topline and learning to go around without being a total giraffe! 🦒 We still have a ways to go as she still lacks balance and softness, but daily progress and improvement is the name of the game! ☺️
Rolling in the grass
I can tell Logan hasn’t been laying down in the stall since he got home as he is never covered in shavings. On this morning’s hand graze he decided he needed a good roll in the grass. ☺️
First time sitting on Linnea! 😍
Thanks to the help of my two best friends we officially did the biggest of big girl things and sat on Linnea’s back for the first time today!! It went as uneventfully and quietly as we could have hoped! Proud of her is an understatement! Can’t wait to watch my baby girl develop into a beautiful riding horse! 😍
