IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT POST!!!
It is with a very heavy heart that I type these words, but here goes….
I have been doing a lot of thinking and soul searching lately. I’ve been back and forth and all over for months on what would be best for not only my buns, but also my own heart and soul going forward….
Breeding is definitely not for everyone. What you may or may not see is the loss, especially with hollands. You have to have thick skin, and the capability to detach, mourn, and move the heck on FAST. I am way too emotional and empathetic for this and it’s taking a toll. Not to mention the babies who do make it… the way I raise them, the amount of time I spend with them, it’s impossible for me to not bond with each of them. So when it’s time for them to go to a new home, it is really hard on me and honestly, it’s a huge change for them as well. I vet new bun parents as best I can and try to find the absolute best homes, but it’s still really difficult…
There’s also my time and energy. It is a full time job to raise and care for 13 plus bunnies. The way I choose to treat them and care for them is expensive (top quality feed, supplements, enrichment, exercise enclosures, LARGE cages and pens, heat and AC, etc. ), it’s also all consuming. I am engaged and about to start major wedding planning. I also am starting a business. These two factors mean less individual time for each bunny, which I then guilt myself about….
Alll of this said, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to stop breeding, at least for the foreseeable future.
I will have a very small herd as my own personal pets. And my set up is going to be INCREDIBLE!!! I’m very excited for this part!!! Free roam buns with a killer indoor/outdoor space. They will be spoiled rotten and loved to pieces. This will be really cool to watch come together, so I encourage you to continue following me and the buns on our journey!
HOWEVER, to get to the fun exciting part, I must first get through the incredibly difficult process of letting go of some of my loves. I’ll be going in phases, and I’ll be very VERY particular where they go. They will all be retired and placed very carefully by me into loving forever homes.
My bunnies are special. If you’ve gotten one from me, you understand this… if you’ve been wanting to add a bunny to your family or have been searching for the perfect companion, now is your chance. Please don’t hesitate to reach out /inquire on a bunny. I love questions and I love when people actually do their research and are adequately prepared. If you know anyone who would benefit from an emotional support bunny, any of mine would be phenomenal for this, send them my way!
Besides having buns to find homes for, I will have lots of cages, hutches, and supplies up for grabs. Message me if you’re interested.
Thank you to each and every one of my friends, followers, and supporters along this journey, I couldn’t have done it without you! I hope everyone has a wonderful day! 🐰❤️
