Funny story:

I thought chestnut was one of my least favorite colors…. Soooooo I avoided it like the plague when searching for my base herd. Turns out my only breeding age BEW doe is genetically Chestnut…. Go figure. 😂 When her three “black otters” ended up being chestnuts, I was actually quite disheartened.

As I watched them grow and saw the color develop…. It all changed. I think it’s one of the prettiest colors I’ve ever seen! I’m SO in love with them. They couldn’t be any sweeter, nor could they be any cuter!!! They are young still, but I can tell a lot already. They are THICK. The rolls 😂 The widest I’ve produced to date. (Except Sunflower 😂…. She ties with them. ) I love all 3 type wise so far. Their ears are nice too! Plus we can not forget the heart Vienna marking on Lovebug 🥰

I’m so excited to work with this color now and these babies!!!

This is one of my babies from my second litter ever, this brings me to tears in a beautiful way! I spend so much time working with my babies so they will be ready to go home with their new family. I handle them all every day from the day they are born. I play with their feet, ears, and mouth from an early age, I carry them around, I talk to them, I start them on litter training, I exercise them, I play with them, I have super fun photo shoots with them, we practice posing, and so much more! It’s actually impossible for me not to fall in love with every single one of them - they also are usually pretty bonded with me. When my babies leave, it’s ALWAYS bittersweet. I’m so sad to see them go and I know they’ll need an adjustment period to their new life. BUT! When I find a great fit, I also feel so excited & happy for them because I know they will be showered with love and spoiled rotten!!! I also know how much joy, peace, and excitement they will bring their new people. THAT IS WHY I DO THIS!!! 🥰 This video story is the PERFECT example of my knowing I found the EXACT RIGHT FIT for both “Bun Bun” AND Eleanor. Eleanor’s mom, also has fallen head over heels in love 🥰. Yayyyy!!! We’ve also stayed very much in touch which I love too!! I get such sweet pics and updates! Thank you Brittany & Eleanor for loving our baby so so much!!! ❤️

Jessi Lynne’s Cowgirl had 3 healthy babies today! She wasn’t due til tomorrow, so “Christmas “ came early!!! I had only found the darker one a few hours ago…. Came back and there were 2 more!!! Yay!!! She is a first time mom and did a great job building a nest and pulling fur. I am hoping she feeds them well also!! Dad is Triggy!

It’s been a hard week. Last week we lost Pinot and sadly her littlest , my little Ladybug , didn’t make it without her. I know they are together doing Binkies and snuggling past the rainbow bridge. I know they both know they were so loved. Sunflower, her siblings, and the other buns are helping me heal. Last night I watched the sunset with sweet Sunflower and she just crawled all over me for snuggles. So so cute! 🥰

At least one definitely has markings. Praying for blue eyes!!!

I learned that DTL uses chocolate in their BEW lines, but wasn’t up front about it. So this was a huge test breeding to see if Carolina Carries chocolate like her sister and father do….. no chocolate !!! 😅
