Sunday was a good day for the dog park. The small dog area and larger were well used. 🐾🐾🐾

Dog park closed temporarily: The spigot in the large/main section is being replaced, and work will hopefully be done by Friday. The small dog section remains open though. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Howdy folks! Please close the gates to the dog park when you leave, yes even if there is no one else there. Also we’ve had some pretty deep digging holes near the new trees. Please do not let your dog dig holes in the dog park. Thank you! Also we planted three new Aspens a couple of weeks back! 🌳 🌳🌳♥️

NO MORE MUDDY WALKS!!!!
What a difference the walking path makes!! It’s so wide it was easy to stay on even half covered with snow. At one point I felt my boot sinking down into mud, and realized I had wandered off the path. I hadn’t realized the impactful difference of the path until I’d found myself walking off path IN the mud.
No wind, sun out, Duke and I needed some sun and fresh air. ♥️

DOG PARK CLOSED: The dog park will be closed while the city crew pour a walking path around the dog park. Weather permitting, it should only take a few days. Please share this exciting update.

Lunch hour: Just relaxing in the shade of the pavilion and giving some trees a nice deep drink.

Tomorrow, Tuesday after NOON the dog park will be open again for use!! Next week it will shut down again while a walking path is installed! thank you for your patience and understanding.

DOG PARK: apologies but the dog park will be inaccessible while the pavilions are being constructed! It may be a few days, will keep posted.

Two handy volunteers needed: Dog park pavilion construction begins. If you or someone you know is available this week to assist during a week day, please let us know. The AARP Grant requires volunteer hours. You'd be working beside a couple of the City workers, helping out. Please share.

Had a great meeting out at the dog park this morning discussing a wish list for the AARP Community Challenge grant! 💕 RIDICULOUS excited about the potential! Here are initial wish list items:
Walking path
Fenced section for smaller dogs
Watering station improvements
Benches
Trees
Shade structure/ pergola
Long term discussion: sprinkler system for windbreak, grass, landscaping, etc.

Also:

🐾 the mud is all dried up out there for now! Go enjoy and let Fido run!

🐾 the garbage can that is missing by the picnic table will be replaced.

🐾 the water will be back on soon.

🐾 please close the outside gate when you leave even if park is empty.

🐾 you MUST pick up after your doggo. The city supplies the bags, it’s your responsibility to do the rest. 💩 🐕
