Helping Hounds Find Homes Inc. Helping Hounds Find Homes, Inc. was created to help unwanted pets find homes and rescue placement. We do this through transport.

is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted homeless animals. HHFH works with owners, shelters and humane agencies statewide to offer a unique option to animals that are adoptable but unable to find homes locally. Every week pictures of our animals are sent to rescue agencies in Chicago and Canada; these groups network with other no-kill shelters and fo

ster care parents to place the animals we have in Kentucky shelters. Once the animals are chosen, transport is then organized. As many as 100 dogs at a time are transported to Chicago or to the Canada pick up location to be taken to new homes. Several times a month animals are on the road to Chicago, Canada, and other locations. Hundreds of lives are saved per year. In an effort to save some of those who are not able to make the transport, multiple mobile adoption events occur throughout the year to place both shelter dogs and cats locally.

Please note the pantry will be open 12/26 instead of the 4th Wednesday. This is a change from our regular schedule.

Please note the requirements to qualify. If you have not registered, you may do so at the pantry. Bring all necessary documentation with you to register.

UPDATE: There is space for one (1) male cat

It is time for the final Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic for 2024.

Please take note of these requirements:

1. Preregistration is required;
2. Payment is taken at preregistration;
3. All preregistration is done in person;
4. Payment is not refunded should you no show;
5. Drop off is at 7:30 am; and
6. Pick up is between 11:30 am and 12 pm.

It is not necessary that you be a resident of Harrison County to register your pet for this clinic.

All preregistration must be done at Kelli's office at 122 East Pike Street.

We are very excited to host this clinic for our community.

In honor of Giving Tuesday - this is what $105,000 has paid for this year.. 😳

• 466 spay/neuter of stray cats
• 200 free vaccinations for pets
• Feeding pets of 45 families twice a month
• 125 cats fostered

🚨 Volunteers needed to assist our TNR program🚨 This is a wonderful program that requires quite a bit of time and work. We are looking for a few volunteers to help us set traps, collect traps, and release cats this week.

• Thursday 12/5 @ 2PM - set traps
• Friday 12/6 afternoon - collect traps
• Saturday evening 12/7 - release cats

We do provide a vehicle unless you choose to use your own. The only requirement is a valid drivers license so you can use it! 🙂

Sally and Jasmine were adopted as kittens in June. Due to no fault of their of own, they have found themselves back with us.

These girls are very social and love attention. They are Velcro kitties.

They have been spayed, current on vaccinated and litter box trained. They are wonderful house guests.

We will have special adoption fees of $35 for the event. All kittens are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and litter box trained.
