I’ve had a few people argue about pricing, sending screenshots and debating with me. Please remember that everything is “or best offer” and is already priced very fairly—well below standard rates. All I ask is for respect during this transition, as it’s not easy for us. We haven’t listed anything at full price. Thank you for your understanding.

**UPDATE!**

The round pen has been sold. The large tack box with saddle rack (pictured) retails for over $1200; I’m asking $500 OBO. We have numerous other items available. Please note, no sales will be made over messages—you’ll need to come in person to select and pay for items. Accepted payment methods are cash, Venmo, and Zelle. Any large buildings must be moved at your own expense.

Most step stools sold today, so it's best to stop by and see what's still available. A small price list is attached, but please keep in mind that all prices are negotiable. We also have various equipment and tools. The tractor will be listed later, as we’ve already received several offers.

In addition, we have a wide range of tack, saddles, and other horse equipment. If you’re searching for something specific, let us know! After more than 20 years as a working horse farm, we’ve accumulated quite a collection, and it all has to go.

Please let me remind you it’s first come first serve. If you want the items, please show up.

And we have coastal hay at $10 a bale.

To Our Loving Horse Community:

I find myself at a loss for words as I share the news that many of you may have already heard: we have finalized the sale of our beloved Isabella Farms. This decision was far from easy, and it is one we never thought we'd have to make. For decades, our lives have revolved around this farm and the horse community we hold so dear. Our passion has always been for the care of every horse that crossed our path. Sadly, we reached a point where we could no longer maintain the level of care and standards that have defined us for so long. We always lived by our motto, "Houston’s Happiest Horses," with the well-being of the horses as our highest priority.

We began this journey as horse owners & boarders, much like many of you. We sought better care for our own horses, and that dream led us to create Isabella Farms from the ground up. We wanted a place where owners would never have to worry about their horse's care, and we believe we achieved that vision. Over the years, we expanded with top-notch training, brought in renowned clinicians from around the world, hosted breed inspections, symposiums, and some truly unforgettable parties. The memories we made here will forever be etched in our hearts, which makes saying goodbye all the more difficult.

As we move forward, we’ve decided to sell nearly everything at the farm. In a way, we hope that pieces of Isabella Farms can live on within the horse community. It might sound sentimental, but knowing that something from our farm could bring happiness to others would mean so much to us. This is incredibly emotional to write. With that in mind, we’ve attached a list of items for sale. There are likely things we’ve missed, which is why we’ll be opening our doors starting November 1st for anyone who wants to stop by and see what might be of interest. The last day for this will be November 22nd.

To our horse community, thank you. You’ve filled our years with joy and unforgettable memories, and we will always cherish the time we’ve spent together. This may be the end of a chapter, but it’s certainly not the end of our story. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

With love and gratitude,

Dawn Chamorro

At clinics, rarely do I get to help people with advanced work (even if they think they are ready for it) because usually the basics are “ok”. When you try to build advanced movements out of “ok” basics you end up with trouble in that movement.

Basics are hard, mostly because they can seem ok, but it’s the details that matter.

I was recently chatting with a friend who is an Olympic showjumping coach. He has competed at 3 Olympic Games and has coached his National team at 3 others.

I said to him “ you do lots of clinics around the world, do you ever run into people that can jump say, a metre, but want to jump higher, but in order to jump higher you have to take them back to the start, back to ground rails ?”

“All the time”, he said. “I rarely encounter anyone who wants to jump higher and is ready for it.”

Once you get the basics really good, the “hard” things are actually easy. It sounds completely backwards to most people, but once you get your head around it, the game changes completely.
