I have always been one to root for the underdog.

Papers are nice, don’t get me wrong. But when a horse has the heart and soul to do their job and do it well, there’s no stopping them. I have had my fair share of underdogs that I turned into winners.

January of this year Chloe & Moose had their first entry ever and they ran a 19. Now, here we are in November and this kill pen rescue laid down a 15.7 with his girl. He loves his job and he loves her and that will always outshine everything else in my book. Also to see the hand of a rider Chloe has become over the years has made me so proud❤️

5th out of about 200ish runners, Adult 1D winner and 3rd in 1D Shootout! ❤️

Congrats to Kaycee & MPH horse, Vegas Bomb yesterday on their successful run!

They placed in the shootout and added a little bit more $$ to their pockets!

Whew! Today was a great race!

Huge congratulations to Sofia & Kings Moon Dot Com for being our big money earners winning just shy of $1K in the Open & the Shootout!

Very proud of you guys!

We had a ton of money winners today! MPH collectively brought home just shy of $2,500 today! Good freaking job today girls!

Congratulations to Juliana & Gold Dun Rowdy for having BOTH of their personal best times today!

I have to shout Juliana out because this week she came and asked for her last run to be critiqued and she took that and focused on herself and her riding this week and really showed up & showed out today!

After a year, Domino is headed home ❤️

Last November this guy was dropped off feral and we had to run him out of the trailer into a pasture and rope him the next day to get a halter in him.

Today he walked right into the trailer with no hesitation to head home. We’ll miss him around here!

Loud riders make quiet horses

How’s pom Poms with horses, a steer and a dog coming right at ya🤣

Who Dat has been a trooper the past couple weeks! He has been in training to help be the best he can be for his new little rider.

We love coming out to Hacienda Tlanextli to rope and get some of the horses out and exposed to new things. Thanks for always having us!

A few of us finished up our year long series at STBRA and I want to say congrats to everyone for a successful year!

Special shout out to Kena on her huge accomplishment!

Makena & Aloa Go Go finished out at as your 3D Reserve Open Champion and was 4th in the 2D Youth

Isabelle & Ghost finished out 6th in 5D Open & 7th in the Novice

Chloe & her crew finished out 7th in the 3D Youth and 8th in the 1D Youth

Devin & her crew finished out 7th in 3D Open and 6th in the 4D Youth

It’s been a wet week but we didn’t let that stop us! I’m sure my neighbors were tired of seeing the rig parked in front of the house 🤣

Hauled around all week to various places and all the training horses really impressed me with how they handled new places, situations and cows🐮. Then topping the week off jumping on our rescue, Callie, and finding out she’s pretty dang broke!

It also feels good to be back in the roping saddle on my best boy❤️

Trail horse, barrels & playday events he knows it all. We have access to Cypress Creek Trails, barrels & poles. He’s been ridden by beginners all the way to advanced riders.

We had our awards ceremony this past Sunday for our 2024 series! It was so nice to hang out and celebrate all of their accomplishments!

Quite a few people were missed but we had a blast! Shout out to all the moms who helped put this all together, Payton Howell & Emma Burke

And thank you to the MPH fam for always being amazing❤️

Congrats to Murdock and Payin To Be The King today for hitting one of their big goals and breaking into the 16s today! Good job to all the other girls today as well! We had 2 in the 1D Youth, 6 in the 2D Youth & 5 in the 3D Youth today!
